In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

What a douchebag. Probably sat in his mom's basement listening to a police scanner , paused from smearing feces on the wall when he heard about a roadblock, grabbed his Sony camera and his mom's key and tried to piss some cops off. Smh

Kid is a dick, but he has a point. I thought the first cop was doing a good job. Second cop probably beats his wife.ASUG8 wrote:What a douchebag. Douchebag of the highest order.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

Re: CHECKPOINT Belligerent Cop Loses Temper
So, a kid is being a dick to some cops and we're supposed to feel sorry for him? The 2nd cop shouldn't have flown off the handle, he's the authoritative figure, but this kid didn't have to question their motives. He went looking to cause trouble and be a dick. If he had any sense he'd know that the "safety" roadblock he passed through is a ruse.
You...you do know how roadblocks work? Right?
Road blocks are not set up in hopes that a perpetrator will pass through them. It happens, but most criminals try to avoid the police, especially in a situation where they will be surrounded and boxed in.
See, what happens is the police put up a sign that says there's a Safety Check or Roadblock in 3 miles, and usually it's just before an exit. Then, there are police at that exit searching for any car that suddenly makes a lane change or quickly gets off the interstate. A vehicle that does anything suspicious. If it's on a city road, for instance, they are near the sign searching for any car that is making a quick U turn or taking an odd detour. Have you ever noticed that when you go through a road block, it's pretty easy. They look at your stuff and pass you through. Hell, I've was at a " DUI Check" and they passed me and the cars in front of me through without stopping.
So, this dude, took time out of his evening to pick a fight with police who weren't detaining him. What a jaggoff.

Sure he does, everyone should always question the governments motives…unless you just want to keep being a lemming as you laid out in the rest of your “do what they tell you” rant.Ibanez wrote:So, a kid is being a dick to some cops and we're supposed to feel sorry for him? BTW stupid kid didn't have his door locked, otherwise that douchebag cop probably would have done something stupid like smash in the window and that kid would had a nice little settlement land in his bank account.

Rant? Hardly. It's a strategy. I'm all for questioning authority. But the way this kid did it was kinda dickish. Good for him for notifying the police they were being filmed. But he is talking over the first cop, who is actually cool with everything. If you want to question, shut the fuck up and listen for the answer.SDHornet wrote:Sure he does, everyone should always question the governments motives…unless you just want to keep being a lemming as you laid out in the rest of your “do what they tell you” rant.Ibanez wrote:So, a kid is being a dick to some cops and we're supposed to feel sorry for him? I don't think anyone has an issue with the 1st cop, who did handle the situation well. The issue is with the douchebag "I have a badge and you don't" cop who is probably just butthurt he has to work the night shift to begin with.Ibanez wrote:Rant? Hardly. It's a strategy. Re: CHECKPOINT Belligerent Cop Loses Temper
I have no problem with the reaction of the second cop considering what transpired prior to his interaction. These guys are at risk of injury or death far more than most of us at our jobs. They have a job to do that most people just take for granted. And it is one shitty job. A large percentage of officers do their job well. But a few cases of excessive force, which get wide publicity, suddenly makes people like this overly sensitive and suspicious of all cops. It's just dumb. Play the percentages and you will more than likely avoid conflict. I'm sure this guy does not stand at the grocery store register and verifies that each item on his receipt was charged the correct amount. Not many people do. We play the percentages and move on.Ibanez wrote:I completely agree with you on that one.SDHornet wrote: I don't think anyone has an issue with the 1st cop, who did handle the situation well. We all have our bad days and sometimes we snap. Police, who are already on the edge, are more prone to that.
