As I said, it refers to the union of states, not the modern concept of multiculturalism.

Multiculturalism in many large European cities, particularly in the UK, Sweden, France, Belgium and Holland means a foreign primitive culture aggressively displacing the advanced native culture. Those primitives don't give a damn about E Pluribus Unum.
Sounds like early American history. :coffee:

If the native culture is so advanced how come they get displaced? :?
You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by c squared. Then you energy.

For one of the rare times on this Poli Board, GF, I don't understand a word you just said.
Exactly...gannonfan has gone off the deep end.

One big world government...no remnants of different desires, different cultures. We must all be under one governance. People in New York City are to be forced into one governance with people from the farthest reaches of Siberia...because we will need to end individual or cultural differences in order to become one as a nation/world under one rule.

I had a professor that pointed out the difference between travel and tourism. People who travel want to go somewhere else to experience, and enjoy, the wonderful differences between people and their cultures. People who tour want to go somewhere else to experience what they experience at home.

In simpler terms, when you travel, do you look for the McDonald's, or do you try the native foods?

gannonfan apparently believes that being governed by your oppressive neighbor is a good thing. A Big Mac is a wonderful advancement for the human race.

BTW, what sound does a sheep make? :suspicious:
You got all that out of GF's post? :?

Autonomy is important to protect, but it can coexist with cooperation and I agree that we are better off as a species when that occurs.

Gannonfan apparently believes it is important that different people and cultures don't govern themselves. The world needs unity...one government.

Otherwise, there would be no reason that Scotland could not govern themselves.

Independence scares some people...why?

Imagine there's no country...while conveniently forgetting the, "imagine there's no religion" part.
