Seriously, kalmie, this has to be one of your weakest efforts to date. It's like you're just mailing it in now. :ohno:

America was founded on the very principal that some folks were more equal than others
Like for example Wealthy Land owners were Citizens ...

Wasn't George Washington (The Ronald Reagan of the late 1700's) the wealthiest land owner in the Americas..?

I don't know. But he learned to be a great general. Did he buy that rank?

The original understanding of being a citizen was founded by the British.

If Money = Speech, is it your contention that the poor have no right to a voice?

No because Hamilton and Franklin outbid him for their picture on higher currency. :coffee:

Well, technically, all words would originate from the government and any words that we get to keep would be considered a word subsidy.

On the bright side, anything that you said that you would ever want to take back and not be blamed for saying you could justifiably use the "you didn't build that" mantra and just tweak it to say "I didn't say that". There are advantages.

Ok I understand the money is speech thing, but once again it is people playing with words. IMHO. Speech should not be limited. In todays world, speech, to reach any sized audience (unless you are the president or some other major league politician and can tell the press to cover you), requires money. Therefore limiting the amount of money one can use to speak limits speech.

Whether you agree or disagree with limiting money it seems that the above more accurately describes this than the talking points of one side or the other.

Did I miss something somewhere?

PS the biggest problem I have with most ideas to limit money in politics is little more than an incumbent protection clause and I think we have enough of that.

Ronald Reagan was a serial Tax Raiser
George Bush Sr. Raise taxes 3 times after he said: "No New Taxes"

So what point exactly are you trying to make..?

1) That you know nothing of the Republican Party History
2) That you simply believe everything you're told by the TV
3) That you like saying stuff you hear other people say

:coffee: Take your time..

:mrgreen:
Democrats = Tax and spend
Republicans = Borrow and spend

Both are equally wrong...

Spend what you make...no more!!!
