#1 Eastern Washington Eagles (2-0, 0-0 BSC) at Washington Huskies (1-0, 0-0 PAC-12)

Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 • 12:07 p.m. Pacific
Husky Stadium (70,138) • Seattle, Wash.
TV: Pac-12 Network
Radio: 700 ESPN (EWU)
Webcast: http://www.pac-12.com/live" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (must be Pac-12 Networks subscriber)

Athletics: GoEags.com | GoHuskies.com
Twitter: @ewuathletics | @UWAthletics
Fan Forums: EWU Redzone | Hardcore Husky

Series: UW leads 1-0
Last Meeting: 2011 - UW won 30-27 in Seattle, WA.
This week's game is being televised nationally on the Pac-12 Networks, interestingly, by the same crew that worked last year's season-opening 49-46 victory at No. 25 Oregon State. That victory was just the fourth time an FCS school has defeated a ranked FBS team, and the Eagles may get a chance to be the fifth this season.

Fans may also listen to the EWU-UW game live regionally on 700-AM ESPN and via the web at http://www.700espn.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, with pre-game coverage starting 1 1/2 hours prior to kickoff.

"We're excited and appreciative of the opportunity to play the Huskies again," said head coach Beau Baldwin, who grew up in nearby Tacoma, Wash. "Over half of our roster is from the Puget Sound area and 70 percent of our players are from the state of Washington. So it's a great opportunity to play in a game like this in front of family and friends, to play an incredible Pac-12 program and to play at an incredible place. Most of our coaching staff is also from the Seattle area, so we all grew up watching the Huskies and were around their program. This game has a special meaning to it a number of ways."

EWU wins....

Took them 97 offensive plays, though. Yards-per-play wasn't too good.

Is there a "Seattle Sophisticate vs. Eastern Wash Rube" angle to this game? Or do the Huskies reserve their social scorn for WSU?

It's split equally among the Cougs and Quacks.

Toward EWU, it's mostly just dismissal, which nearly bit them in the ass in 2011, and will bite them in the ass this year. :twocents:

To use a JSO reference, today is the day EWU treats the Huskies like their property. Huck the Fuskies, GO EAGS!

Pac-12 National has scheduled Fresno St/Utah. EWU/UW is on Pac-12 NW.

Well shit. Not the kind of start we needed. UW up 14-0 after scoring in their opening drive and EWU fumbling on the ensuing kickoff.

Eastern getting some life, but needs a TO or at least defensive stand.
