Liberty hanging tough with #21 North Carolina, down 21-15 at half. They recorded a safety earlier on an "illegal kicking" in the endzone, failed to get 2pt conversion after second TD.

Sac State up at Incarnate Word 28-6 in 2Q.

All Wyoming has to do is kneel it. Not sure why they're actually running plays.
Cowboys win 17-12.
Griz had a chance, but couldn't mount a drive or get Wyoming off the field at the end. At least they covered the spread…

Hornets overcome a LONG blocked FG (bad coaching decision there) to score just before the half.
Sac State 35, Incarnate Word 6.

In FBS money games it's really the moral victories in life...unless you are Sac State or EWU and are good enough to knock off Pac12 programs.Mvemjsunpx wrote:All Wyoming has to do is kneel it. Not sure why they're actually running plays.

Sac State up 35-6 at half on Incarnate Word. Barring a miracle (possible given that we are playing Incarnate Word) the Hornets have this wrapped up.

Of course, if you're Sac State, you knock off a Pac-12 team and still go 4-7.SDHornet wrote:In FBS money games it's really the moral victories in life...unless you are Sac State or EWU and are good enough to knock off Pac12 programs.Mvemjsunpx wrote:All Wyoming has to do is kneel it. All joking aside, regional media couldn't care less how we do in BSC, but knock of a Pac12 team and you get headlines for a solid week.

Towson falls to CCSU, 31-27.
It was only a matter of time before Towson fell out of the rankings, but I figured they'd at least get a parachute.

(coach) Farley said in postgame that part of that was on him, in that he couldn't hear the officials whistling the ball ready for play due to crowd noise, though I personally think he's just making up that excuse (even if he couldn't hear the whistle, you'd think someone would be at least glancing at the play clock). The second one was BS though, as Iowa was calling for a TO.HI54UNI wrote:It's hard to believe Iowa only had 2 penalties the entire came. But I'm not going to complain about lack of penalties on Iowa. I haven't yet watched the tape, but I'd have to think that some of those facemask penalties are mighty iffy
and they were letting Iowa get away with quite a bit.
Don't get me wrong, even with a legit unbiased officiating crew, UNI would have still gotten the lions share of them, but it shouldn't have been THAT one sided.

Re: Week 2 Score Thread
Bison started out with a lot of penalties and mental mistakes, luckily Iowa St is not at the same level as Iowa. Was hoping our MVFC brothers would beat the Squawkeyes today. I recorded the game and watched part of it. UNI was moving the ball, and Johnson had some big plays. Thought I saw some of the same plays called by Klieman today. Should be a battle when NDSU goes to Iowa for the second time.JayJ79 wrote:(coach) Farley said in postgame that part of that was on him, in that he couldn't hear the officials whistling the ball ready for play due to crowd noise, though I personally think he's just making up that excuse (even if he couldn't hear the whistle, you'd think someone would be at least glancing at the play clock). EMU up 31-28 on Morgan, early 4Q. Game has been in a weather delay forever. First game on the gray field in Yspilanti.

Looks like a KPAX Griz game.

Make that 49-12. We let a WR get loose in the defensive backfield.

Re: Week 2 Score Thread
EWU up 21-0 in early in the second. Real snoozer so far. Something like 10-15 players being held out of this game with injuries as a precautionary measure.

49-13 Final. Hornets roll UIW. UIW's starting QB left due to injury midway in the 1st. Safron looked good, made one bad decision for an INT but otherwise a great momentum builder for the season. Bench was emptied late in the 3rd quarter.

Re: Week 2 Score Thread
I'm not going to argue against any of the UNI calls...
However, the non-calls against Iowa were atttrocious.
That first TD run for Iowa had 4 blatant holds on the corner that free the back. Not just "iffy, happen on every play" holds. All out bear hug, jersey stretching, taking to the ground holds.
Between those not getting called and Darrian Miller's TD getting called back due to a hold and forcing a FG is a HUGE swing way early in the game.
There was a HUGE non call on a 3rd and long pass into the endzone for UNI. The reasoning that was given by the TV gusy for it not being called "Well, the DB mugged the shit out of him but he turned his head around so it can't be PI" was then used against UNI as the reason for a PI on a ball that was 20 yards over thrown.
UNI gave up 128 penalty yards and had the ball with a chance to tie with less than 4 to go in the game.
Fuck Iowa
