Beheading? Sure. When the US captures these scumbags they should cut their little heads off and watch them bleed to death. 72 virgins will remain so.

Got it. Another straw man argument. You have nothing.

To steal one from Joltin Joe.

F! :dunce:

Now how about you tell us how all the tens and tens of thousands Iraqis laid down their lives for reasons other than religion?
Straw man?

YOU are making false statements. YOU directly connected (you used the word, "because"...which infers cause and effect) Hussein being a violent dictator to, "the people had no spine."

SeattleGriz wrote:

1) I was simply just speculating it would take at least a generation to pass because Hussein was such a violent dictator, the people had no spine.

Yup...that's your quote. :dunce:

And then YOU came up with this gem:

"2) Figured it would take children growing up and being proud of their country to defend it with any sort of effort."

As if people have to have a generation to grow up to be proud of their country to defend it. :dunce: Yeah, sure. Those communists Chinese, after overthowing Chiang Kai-shek (do you know he and his son killed 30,000 people on Taiwan, keeping it under martial law for 38 years  ), had a whole 3-4 years to rebound and defend their border and send hundreds of thousands of troops southward. A generation? Those Slopes must grow up quickly).

And then there was this stupid comment from you:

"3)Look at how the Iraqi troops run for cover or defect now."

Since you didn't back that up with a reason for them running for cover, we'll assume that it somehow relates to your previous two comments. You, of course, are probably familiar with our experience in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and a host of other countries, where we tried to prop up an unpopular government...and somehow a large section of those pesky troops just would not stand up under pressure. You might try looking up British history, French history, and...well, the world's history regarding conflicts involving artificial boundaries, resource exploitation, imposed puppet governments...catch my drift? :suspicious:

Damned shame those guys don't see things your way, right?

You should stop...seriously, you are making yourself look more ridiculous with every post. We're going to have to put you in a battle to the bottom of the intelligence scale with dal if you keep this up. :thumb:
Let me get this straight. You have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to refute my post of 10 years ago, speculating that American forces would need to be in Iraq at least one generation to give their military a chance at defending themselves? A post in which I was simply asked, "how long do you think it would take to create lasting stability in Iraq?" A singular post on CS.com?

Not only that, but you have resorted to strawman arguments, ad hominem attacks, tu quoque and genetic fallacies. I suppose it is fitting you are a Delaware fan, for you are the Joe Biden of logical fallacies. Gaffe (fallacy) machine!

The really sad part is that you keep digging yourself a larger hole. In essence, defeating yourself because you won't shut up. :ohno: You had to overreach with your usual snore inducing blathering, so I am simply asking for your proof on what cause, other than religion, have tens and tens of thousand Iraqis given their lives for?

As you are following these debate tactics to a tee, here is the cheat sheet for you gramps.

Muslins have successfully desensitized us to beheadings. Sad to say, but other than family members, nobody really cares about beheadings any more. The US doesn't pay ransoms, so other than clear intel and a raid, if you're an American in ISIS control, your days are numbered.

And I might add, if you are an American wondering around the Arab world without a safety net, you're really, really stupid.

And if you get away once after being captured and go back so you can get caught again you are as dumb as the Portland Trailblazers passing on Michael Jordan to pick Sam Bowie.

Just a side note: CNN played a pre-beheading clip of the executioner before each beheading. It's the same guy, same terrain, same weather.

They more than likely killed all these guys the same day, including the Brit who is supposedly next. I'm guessing they're smart enough not to keep trotting out the execution squad to the same spot. Our intel types are pretty good at figuring out locations.

I came to the same conclusion. These guys are smart enough to not go to the same place twice. I haven't heard or read much about this but is the executioner the same Brit?

Looks and sounds exactly the same in the clips I mentioned. It's a London accent.

Not an expert... but, I'm thinking the desert doesn't have much variety in weather?

Seems like same guy and same location... could be same time... but, a bit of a leap, imo.

So you think they're going to dress up the boys in orange three times, put Ali G in the ninja suit, hand him the Rambo knife and trot out the film crew under clear skies for US satellites, drones, and possible HUMINT to observe.

Yeah, I must be way off.

Meh I doubt it. If you are going to do something like this, you do it all at once. You don't go back to a location that the United States has had weeks to identify using geospatial software and techniques.

And like 93 said, with the drones and HUMINT (human intelligence) available, you don't put yourself in that sort of danger. I would wager money that they killed multiple people on the same day, with similar threats.

Just saying that "the weather looks the same" in both videos is... well... pretty fucking obvious considering it's the desert.
