Re: Do you trust DOJ?
Actually, if Missouri is in keeping with a large number of other states, police shootings are probably handled by the state investigative arm by law. This is true in most states, including SC where ALL police shootings are handled by SLED.
I doubt very seriously that Ferguson PD would be handling this even if there was not all the uproar.
I am very concerned about the appearance that DOJ is presenting by getting involved in all of this BEFORE the state of MO has had a chance to weigh in. There is nothing in this case to indicate it was a hate crime, which would be the only reason DOJ could appropriately come in at this early stage of the game. It could wind up being a civil rights case (which is civil, not criminal) and the officer and Ferguson will certainly be sued on those grounds, but still.... the involvement of DOJ at this stage is highly inappropriate.

In ObamaHolder World, if an African-American screams, loots, vandalizes and violently harms their terrorized neighbor, Gman comes-a-runnin' to stuff the teat of validation in their sobbing mouth, then once pacified, sends whitey the child support bill.

Re: Do you trust DOJ?
This should be a state matter, not local or Feds. Feds should offer help, but unless requested should stay away and keep their mouths closed about anything except offering condolences to the aggrieved, and call for calm.
DOJ vote now 19-1.
