I agree completely Hen. I was just responding to Bronco's post. I apologize for trivializing the more important issues of our time.89Hen wrote:Ugh.dbackjon wrote:

Newsflash... no sitting POTUS has a single day off from work during their term. Kalm's post is as ridiculous as an R citing the costs of Obama's trips. It costs money to move the security details that are necessary to protect them. Counting all of Bush's days in Crawford as "vacation" is disingenous at best. All of you guys should be better than this.

How do you know that the Ferguson police are doing all of that? There are only fifty-three in the entire department. Most of the cops out there are Missouri State Police, St. Louis County Police and many from the surrounding suburbs. I understand that the MO State Police are running the show, since the riots are taking place in and well beyond Ferguson.dbackjon wrote:CAA Flagship wrote: Jon, you are the first on the board to draw a conclusion of the shooting incident.

Over here the story is going around that the cop shot the kid in the back and then gave him a few more when he put his hands up. Anonymous also posted a cops name that the PD says wasn't the shooter.CitadelGrad wrote:How do you know that the Ferguson police are doing all of that? Gotta hand it to the cops, they're getting real good at not having any stories with two sides.

Lewis says the police have responded to largely peaceful protests over the slaying of an unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown, with excessive force reminiscent of the 1960s.
“My own feeling is right now is that President Obama should use the authority of his office to declare martial law, federalize the Missouri National Guard to protect people as they protest," Lewis said during an interview on MSNBC. "People should come together—reasonable elected officials, community leaders—and address what is happening there. If you fail to act, the fires of frustration and discontent will continue to burn, not only in Ferguson, Missouri, but all across America.”

As for the Confederate Battle Flag, I'll be the first to say that it carries a lot of bad meanings, especially by those who used it after the Civil War, and that the use of it does need to be watched, but I think you've jumped past hyperbole when you compare it with the Swatzika. But I guess you meant to do that.

They should've called in for help and leadership a long time ago - they've let themselves become the story when they should've looked for support from the state right away. I think were Jon like this and so irrational. He would have never convinced me that I should support gay marriage so many years ago on AGS. Im glad I befriended him before he made such a sharp turn towards lunacy. Because I still defend that movement.93henfan wrote:C'mon man. You know Jon's agenda by now. No need to get riled at all.
