The solution is for you to wag your siggy's gorgeous ass in the Jiddah town square for a few minutes and lure out a moderate muslin or two. Dork.

Here's an idea that includes even coal production for hitting the Muslims in the pocket book

We should try it:

"Point one: I am tonight setting a clear goal for the energy policy of the United States. Beginning this moment, this nation will never use more foreign oil than we did in 1977 -- never. From now on, every new addition to our demand for energy will be met from our own production and our own conservation. The generation-long growth in our dependence on foreign oil will be stopped dead in its tracks right now and then reversed as we move through the 1980s, for I am tonight setting the further goal of cutting our dependence on foreign oil by one-half by the end of the next decade -- a saving of over 4-1/2 million barrels of imported oil per day.
Point two: To ensure that we meet these targets, I will use my presidential authority to set import quotas. I'm announcing tonight that for 1979 and 1980, I will forbid the entry into this country of one drop of foreign oil more than these goals allow. These quotas will ensure a reduction in imports even below the ambitious levels we set at the recent Tokyo summit.
Point three: To give us energy security, I am asking for the most massive peacetime commitment of funds and resources in our nation's history to develop America's own alternative sources of fuel -- from coal, from oil shale, from plant products for gasohol, from unconventional gas, from the sun.
I propose the creation of an energy security corporation to lead this effort to replace 2-1/2 million barrels of imported oil per day by 1990. The corporation I will issue up to $5 billion in energy bonds, and I especially want them to be in small denominations so that average Americans can invest directly in America's energy security.
Just as a similar synthetic rubber corporation helped us win World War II, so will we mobilize American determination and ability to win the energy war. Moreover, I will soon submit legislation to Congress calling for the creation of this nation's first solar bank, which will help us achieve the crucial goal of 20 percent of our energy coming from solar power by the year 2000.
These efforts will cost money, a lot of money, and that is why Congress must enact the windfall profits tax without delay. It will be money well spent. Unlike the billions of dollars that we ship to foreign countries to pay for foreign oil, these funds will be paid by Americans to Americans. These funds will go to fight, not to increase, inflation and unemployment.
Point four: I'm asking Congress to mandate, to require as a matter of law, that our nation's utility companies cut their massive use of oil by 50 percent within the next decade and switch to other fuels, especially coal, our most abundant energy source.
Point five: To make absolutely certain that nothing stands in the way of achieving these goals, I will urge Congress to create an energy mobilization board which, like the War Production Board in World War II, will have the responsibility and authority to cut through the red tape, the delays, and the endless roadblocks to completing key energy projects.
We will protect our environment. But when this nation critically needs a refinery or a pipeline, we will build it."

I heard one of those ex military officer talking heads make a good point. He said that Obama screwed up by sacrificing the element of surprise. He said what should've happened is that all of a sudden out of nowhere US air power just descended upon ISIS or whatever it's calling itself without warning hitting it all over the place. Blasting it as much as possible before it knew what was coming or what was going on.

And he's right. If they'd have done that they could've completely devastated this group because it was moving around out in the open feeling good about itself. They could've killed thousands of them and destroyed much if not most of their heavy equipment. It would've been, as the cliche goes, like shooting fish in a barrel.

Now they're hiding, using women and children as shields and such as is typical of Islamists. So the opportunity to pretty much destroy them as a meaningful military force was missed.

Only problem with the below is the question of what the hell "objective morality" is. Morality is ALWAYS going to include subjective premises. Since the quote is from "dailyatheistsquote.com" I'll go ahead and say that it's another example of atheists finding the need to delude themselves into thinking an objective morality can be constructed from their world view when it can't. That's fine. Doesn't mean their world view is incorrect. But it does mean they're deluding themselves for some reason while at the same time making fun of OTHER people for what they perceive as deluding themselves.

Straw man argument. Taken right from the Obama playbook.

Few people are arguing that we should kill all Muslims. But I do not believe we should allow them to shape the argument as they do with you and SK.

When people like you nod your heads in agreement with Muslims who complain about being profiled in public places or about exploitation or US support of despotic regimes you legitimize them and their complaints- and the fact that as moderate as they may be, large numbers of them donate to organizations and causes that directly funnel cash and material support to the absolute WORST representatives of their religion.

I suggest you go find one of these "moderate" Muslims you liberals love to talk about and ask them what they think about people who leave Islam.... or women's rights, or like Chitz said- people who draw cartoons of Muhammed.

Being considered moderate simply because you don't saw off people's heads with rusty knives leaves a lot of room for mischief.

Bingo...^

Islam is not going to have an enlightenment or Humanist movement while simultaneously being coddled by the rest of the world powers

It will only grow and re-shape itself when a larger percentage of practicing Muslims believe they have to save the religion from itself and this does not happen when presently overwhelming numbers of Muslims (when polled) believe that violence is an appropriate response to criticism of their faith

OVERWHELMING MAJORITY believe that violence is appropriate

I was going to ask for a link, but it looks like SK beat me to it.

I would love to see a similar study regarding who "moderate" (in quotes) muslims are donating to. I'm sure some support the bad guys but I'd honestly like to see who they're really giving money to.

Regarding profiling…this liberal has zero problem with it. Profiling, aka, good police work.

Regarding tolerance of cartoons…again, a link to a study would be nice.

Regarding U.S. support of despotic regimes…you're a fucking moron if you think there aren't legitimate complaints (where in the fuck is Cluck U when I need him?)

Regarding CID's constant partisanship regarding the issue…you're an even bigger moron if you think it's just an "Obama playbook" problem. In fact, you also sink Chizzy's entire troll regarding freedom…

Two can play this game...

World Public Opinion: 61% of Egyptians approve of attacks on Americans
32% of Indonesians approve of attacks on Americans
41% of Pakistanis approve of attacks on Americans
38% of Moroccans approve of attacks on Americans
83% of Palestinians approve of some or most groups that attack Americans (only 14% oppose)
62% of Jordanians approve of some or most groups that attack Americans (21% oppose)
42% of Turks approve of some or most groups that attack Americans (45% oppose)
A minority of Muslims disagreed entirely with terror attacks on Americans:
(Egypt 34%; Indonesia 45%; Pakistan 33%)
About half of those opposed to attacking Americans were sympathetic with al-Qaeda’s attitude toward the U.S.

This is clear proof that poll responses depend on the way the question is phrased. What an oatmeal, bland question: disapproving of attacks on civilians by a single person, or a few persons, without providing essential political or ethnic/religious context. That's the type of question Mother Teresa would ask. :|

I would guess most Muslim polling might be suspect considering 90% of them are still living in the 8th century.

The news is no less alarming on the question of freedom of speech. Seventy-eight percent support punishment for the people who earlier this year published cartoons featuring the Prophet Mohammed. Sixty-eight percent support the arrest and prosecution of those British people who "insult Islam." When asked if free speech should be protected, even if it offends religious groups, 62 percent of British Muslims say No, it should not."

Did you bother to read the polls you're linking?

They are on my side. :coffee:  :dunce:

And, this is just younger Muslims.
According to that poll - just 9% of Muslims in the US think suicide bombings are justified.

And, applying your reading of this poll to the Gallup poll I posted ealier:

26% of Protestants think it's ok to target and kill civilians
27% of Catholics think it's ok to target and kill civilians
23% of atheists and agnostics think it's ok to target and kill civilians.
