He sounds like Obama 7 years ago
The problem is when guys like this actually get elected and into office they realize they aren't in charge
and its right back to business as usual

So, do you think the "Democrats" and "Republicans" are two diametrically opposed groups "fighting against each other" or do you think they're just two wings of the same party- always in power? Just curious.Chizzang wrote:Meh, Nothing shadowy about it...expandspanos wrote:

P.S.- This is a great video, and more people should see it..
Ron Paul was definitely destroyed on purpose.. The media couldn't ignore him enough... Too much truth coming out of that guy's mouth.. Too bad Rand Paul is a total joke, his dad was 6000% better.

I think they're more similar than they are different
both parties are
1) Almost entirely incompetent
2) Completely up for sale
3) Dishonest and self serving
4) Largely controlled by special interest and lobby
Anything else..?

Ron Paul is a phony. And I say this as a person who voted for him in the Iowa Caucus because I liked the idea of shaking up the establishment.

The "never sell out" and "I'll be honest" lines EVERY politician uses.
The red flag should have been Obama's trip to the Bilderberg Group within hours of his inaugration.
BTW, if you'd like some entertainment, start Googling various queries with "Bilderberg" in the phrase. Sooner or later Google will display a warning that your query has been blocked as they have detected robotic or malware queries, prompting a Captcha entry to continue. Regardless of what you enter, Google puts you in a Captcha loop preventing you from completing the query.
Experienced this on two computers, two ISP's. Never seen this before. Might be a Google practical joke.

Re: How Ron Paul was cheated
Ok. Watched the whole thing. I do think the dominant view in the media was that he could never win and therefore was not a "serious" candidate. I think that affected their coverage. But I don't think there was any kind of media conspiracy to ignore him or treat him unfairly.
I would have preferred Paul as President over anybody else in the race. I am a poll junkie and was watching them closely throughout. One thing I was watching for is if it ever looked like Paul had a realistic chance. I do not think that he ever did.
On the other hand, internal Party politics are very dirty and corrupt. Maybe even more dirty and corrupt than politics between the major parties. My wife is on the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee and I hear stories all the time. Also, I went to a local event held by the Libertarian Party to recruit new members. A number of people interested in becoming involved in the Libertarian Party spoke to say why they were there. Pretty much without exception they were Republicans who were hacked off by the way the Louisiana Republican Party manipulated things to favor Romney.
In 2008 Huckabee won the Louisiana Republican primary but the Republican State Executive Committee fixed it so all the delegates went to the convention and voted for McCain. So it's not just Paul. The "Establishment" picks the candidate it wants and interlopers have to overcome it. It can be done. Reagan did it the first time he got nominated. But he's the only one I can think of during my adult lifetime. Reagan on the second pass, Ford, H.W. Bush, Dole, W. Bush, McCain, and Romney were all candidates that, to my knowledge, the Republican Party "Establishment" wanted in the final race.

I'm simply pointing out that T-man might be slipping - like loony toony
We're having a conversation about Ron Paul and Obama (nobody mentioned Bush anywhere)
Bush is irrelevant... and always was (Cheney was the President)
