Obama's Job Approval Rating

Post by Ibanez »

According to Gallup, it's at 39%.

Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president. Daily results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage points.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/116500/presi ... -bush.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's just above Bush's 2nd Term Average.

Everything is fine...dal and kkklean are happy (secretly only half happy), the Dems have never been more proud of themselves, so why don't you just mind your own damned business?

I grew up during the Cold War era. Going through nuclear war drills in school, Red Dawn, that scene in Terminator, not being allowed to watch The Day After, then watching it, then thinking WTF. All that shit. The first Iraq war. Thinking about enlisting. 9/11. Going home to a baby girl hours after. Seeing fighter jets circling my area.

THIS is the most depressed time I've ever experienced. I rode the bus when Obama was elected. I've never seen so many happy people.

All I see in peoples faces is exhausted. I miss BSing with black folk. I like them. My experience working in warehouses and in the locker room has given me the ability to communicate without the whole racist skin color. And they appreciate a white guy addressing them like there is nothing different between us. Because we are all just people.

These days are just divisive. I have never felt this way about my fellow man. Skin color be damned.

Thanks Obama.

I do believe race relations have taken a downturn during Obama's tenure. I don't think it is entirely his fault ( there are plenty of troublemakers willing to agitate in his name) but he has hardly been the "postracial" President. If anything he has upped the ante on identity politics - (if i had a son he would look like Trayvon)

I get asked for money at roughly 36.93% of my gas fill-ups these days. That didn't used to happen.

I keep a stack of McDonalds applications in my car. I can't give bums money, but I can at least point them toward employment.

He was at 52 on the day of his 2nd term inauguration. It has been dropping since. Just by eyeballing the chart, but not crunching numbers, I'd say his 2nd term average is probably around 43 or 42.

And, WRT is "job approval rating", does it surprise anyone that at this point the only people left supporting him are the 40% of hardcore democrats in this country? The battle is always for the middle 20% of independents and they have abandoned him in droves. His approval rating will NEVER drop much below where it is now because all that's left is the Obamabots who have swallowed the cum, fondled the balls, and lapped it up for 6 years.

Eh, his numbers with independents are about the same as his overall numbers.

36% of independents. Not great. But, certainly not as your argument suggests...

So 64% of independents not approving of Obama, based upon performance rather than ideology is not so bad? :coffee:

not surprising that would matter to you but the knee jerk "but Bush" canards MUST be getting tiresome to you

so here's a thought experiment for you:

how about compared to Bill Clinton?
