I'm torn over Israel. I do believe they have the right to exist and also to protect themselves. I also believe that the turmoil in that region is left over from the British partitioning, but the Palestinians are the real instigators and have been for the last 50 years.

ALl that said, I think Israel can protect themselves without the billions in aid we send then each year, and that spigot (along with several others) needs to be slowly turned off.

Israel is not the only country we give a lot of money to with no return on our investment, but they are one of a select few (I live in one of them) that not only accepts our money but also act against our interests in many cases.

As far as their treatment of the Paletinians I do not think they are nearly as brutal as we would be if Mexico was launching rockets into civilian population centers along our borders.

From what I understand they were in front of a hotel in which western reporters were staying at. There was an MSNBC journalist playing with them on the beach a few minutes before the strike.

I think the fact it was kids was an accident, but the fact they hit bodies running away from a target wasn't an accident.

The Israelis should do a better job of target identification, but their problem is they are heartless people who don't care who they kill. Hell, one of their tactics is to drop an inert bomb into a home as a warning for a family to get out before the real bomb comes seconds later. If the inert bomb happens to split open a couple of kids' heads, oh well. They're only Palestinians. That's the Israeli attitude.
