The last thing I think is that men should have no opinion... no matter the topic
And as much as 89Hen wishes I believed that - its still not true - I like the counterpoint

What I'm suggesting is that an opinion that is derived through means of contemplating that do not include the bearer of the burden in the outcome are not opinions as much as they are laws or rules...
Opinions should be fluid and open to new information and differing data points (perspective) otherwise they're not really opinions... they are something else entirely

May 2014 Gallup poll, 41% of Women consider themselves pro-life. That's not a small minority. Why do you assume that women agree with you about sexism having anything to do with abortion?

Pro-abortioners invoke sex equality the same way pro-life people will invoke God.

I'm actually trying to be as logical as possible...
Knowing myself and my brother and all my buddies I am fairly comfortable asking some of those questions and kind of hearing the replies - ranging from crazy defensive with deep denial - all the way to fundamentalist gibberish and back around the horn again

If we (men) aren't seriously asking those questions and seeking ACTUAL truth in response
Then we're complete and total hypocrites

which is actually understandable if you believe abortion is first and foremost a womens health issue rather than, say, killing

but ill be willing to concede the only possible endpoint to your logic which is either 1) men on the SCOTUS cannot rule on womens issues or 2) can rule on womens issues only if they rule in a way that is acceptable to women

while were at it why stop there?

only Thomas, Sptomayor and Kagan can rule on civil rights cases

only Ginsberg can rule in cases with Jewish interests

only Catholic justices can rule in cases .....

It is a cute mental exercise but ultimately an empty and pointless one

To the men getting pregnant comment, that's dumb. But asking a man if he'd quit and job and take care of his kids, that's reasonable. That's something you can witness. That's something that occurs.
