Just to re-connect the dots:
1) How many men would leave there job to have a baby
2) And then raise a baby
3) Never mind carry the thing the entire term
4) and then squeeze it out

:coffee:

And then after that:
1) How many of those men would then entertain a womans opinion on the matter
2) Defend legislation against their personal rights

We're down to single digits about right now...
Let's connect one more dot... your arguement is based on the ability of a man to have a baby... :dunce:

That if men got pregnant you could get an abortion at the airport between flights

True dat

and "Abortion Rights" wouldn't involve womens opinions at all
Umm...no, I don't think I can say that with a whole lot of confidence. Sounds like typical pro-abortion femme-a-gogery to me.

Seriously, what in the f*ck are you blabbing about? Is this the kind of asinine crap that you debate about in your philosophy 101 classes at Daddy's University? I've read alot of stupid shit on this board, but holy crap this one ranks right up there with 6.93, taking a dump in the shower and flying from the East Coast through Chicago on the way to Paris.

I really hope you are joking with this. I really do.

The ability to see a situation from multiple perspectives and ponder the results isn't to your liking..?

What other way is there to examine the possibility of hypocrisy..?
Can you explain how you measure complicated issues without this ability..?

 I always do. But like I said, when going to visit friends in Chicago, it's good to fly there.

Besides, when flying internationally, I prefer to leave out of Atlanta over Charlotte. I prefer the Atlanta airport.

You are uncharacteristically illogical on this subject, Chitz.

It's like Catholicism to D1B, the F-35 to Klean or just about anything conservative to Klam

Although I admit to also holding a very strong opinion on it as well- only in the other direction

I'm actually trying to be as logical as possible...
Knowing myself and my brother and all my buddies I am fairly comfortable asking some of those questions and kind of hearing the replies - ranging from crazy defensive with deep denial - all the way to fundamentalist gibberish and back around the horn again

If we (men) aren't seriously asking those questions and seeking ACTUAL truth in response
Then we're complete and total hypocrites

i am sure that if men could get pregnant they would be women

there is no logical endpoint to your line of thinking- unless you are truly saying men have no right to an opinion in the matter

which is actually understandable if you believe abortion is first and foremost a womens health issue rather than, say, killing

but ill be willing to concede the only possible endpoint to your logic which is either 1) men on the SCOTUS cannot rule on womens issues or 2) can rule on womens issues only if they rule in a way that is acceptable to women

while were at it why stop there?

only Thomas, Sptomayor and Kagan can rule on civil rights cases

only Ginsberg can rule in cases with Jewish interests

only Catholic justices can rule in cases .....

you get the picture

It is a cute mental exercise but ultimately an empty and pointless one

The last thing I think is that men should have no opinion... no matter the topic
And as much as 89Hen wishes I believed that - its still not true - I like the counterpoint

What I'm suggesting is that an opinion that is derived through means of contemplating that do not include the bearer of the burden in the outcome are not opinions as much as they are laws or rules...
Opinions should be fluid and open to new information and differing data points (perspective) otherwise they're not really opinions... they are something else entirely

And yes, firstly I do see abortion as a primary womens health issue
And yes I also see it as a kind of murder on occasion as well - just like handing a 5 year old a loaded rifle and then leaving the house while he shoots his sister to death is also murder... even though the the state of Kentucky disagrees with me

Later term abortions are a tragedy (but also Gods will apparently too)
see: Gods will in 5 year old shooting sister case

:coffee: It is not cut and dry for me... although Abortion is Gods will

Well if you are like me and don't believe in the Will of God (TM) - although I know you are being tongue in cheek there

Then it comes down to the will of man (or woman) and I object to elective abortion for convenience- as a member of the human race, rather than some subset of it

all this aside - I am not opposed to abortion for the same reasons Hobby Lobby would be - I am not opposed to abortifascients because I don't think that detaching 25 stem cells from the uterine wall is killing in the sense that sucking out the brain of a 28 week old fetus is

BUT

That's why this case has nothing to do with womens' health or the right to employer provided abortifascients (note how I didnt say birth control)- it has to do with religious freedom and whether or not I have to check my religion at the door as a condition for doing business in this country. and I really dont have a dog in that fight OTHER than that the minute we start to scoff at those Constitutional rights that we might not care much about... eventually they might get to one that we DO care about

so I understand the emotional response to the SCOTUS decision... if guys like me get my way women will be chattel slaves within 20 years... birthing unwanted children in stables and of decrepit health - but that point really is moot even if it were true

I don't know the SCOTUS opinion or feedback / Heaven't checked
Nor do I care about the Hobby Lobby decision or any of that - to me birth control is a whole different issue and requires a different conversation

I just like having a good abortion debate (particularly with 89Hen buzzing about on his high horse)

There are all kinds of ways to "murder people" and get away with it legally
I just happen to like this one for various reasons

May 2014 Gallup poll, 41% of Women consider themselves pro-life. That's not a small minority. Why do you assume that women agree with you about sexism having anything to do with abortion?

Pro-abortioners invoke sex equality the same way pro-life people will invoke God. :coffee:
