Agreed,
The founders were looking to empower the individual
So it wasn't the founding fathers. Perhaps it was people of entrenched wealth?

(Don't tell the conks this as they are all for competition)

The answer lies in the second question...
When did Americas largest corporations stop paying taxes..?

I haven't decided if this is a good thing or a bad thing just yet...

I will agree that a corporation should have the same rights as a person the day a corporation straps on boots, grabs a field pack and rifle, makes it through basic training and ultimately jumps out of a plane into some jungle or desert somewhere and runs the same risks as everyone else in getting shot at or killed for some unknown or unclear reason.

I'm sure there are many people who are members of corporations who have done those things. Most have not just as most people in the general population have not. But corporations are composed of people. This thing where people act like you're not making people do things when you make corporations do things is pretty much self-evidently nonsense. When you make a corporation composed of people who hold certain convictions violate those convictions you are making those people violate their convictions. There is no real distinction.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

All that you said ^ Minus accountability John...

Try this:

Because there is virtually no corporate accountability
Very few corporate leaders CFO's CEO's Chairmen go to jail for 25 years

if ever

How do you know that everyone in the corporation holds the same convictions?

And if they do, what's the harm in being forced to offer a benefit that goes against their convictions. If they hold the same convictions none of them will use it.
