Very deceiving post Duo, so well done. MLS only outdraws on a per game basis and part of that is thanks to one team. Seattle by itself is over 12% of the league's total attendance. The NHL and NBA per game attendance is watered down because they probably over-expanded. A mistake that MLS will probably duplicate in the near future too.
Well, you can't compare 81 game totals and 40 game totals. That's just stupid.
So what if it's one team? Those are still people coming out for the games.
That's the point of averages.
I guess we can say MLB outdraws the NFL then. 74 million to 17 million. And no one would.
74 > 17 in my text book.
The point of averages is to make somebody who is smaller, feel bigger.
One of the best national anthems coming up today with the French anthem.
My list of top 5 anthems at the World Cup:
1. French La Marseillaise - I mean, the song's so cool even the Beatles sampled it. The Beatles man!
2. Germany Deutschlandlied - I know, they don't even sing the part that says "Germany over all" anymore, ever since that Nazi thing, and they say it never really meant that Germany should be dominant over all, but we know it does and it's still a good tune.
3. Russia State Anthem of the Russian Federation - again, kinda cool that they went old school and just reused the Soviet Union anthem. I mean, who hasn't seen Rocky IV and almost wanted to root for Ivan Drago following that anthem. That and that whole "he's like a piece of iron" line he uttered. Great stuff.
4. United State of America Star Spangled Banner - Hey, it's old school, but it works. Changes tone when it gets to the rockets red part, and then it has a great finish. Plus, the drum roll at the start is great.
5. Brazil Brazilian National Anthem - I'm not normally one for the South American anthems - they are way too operatic for my liking, but this one works. Love watching them try to sing it since it's so fast - you think people would pass out halfway through for lack of air. Plus the whole a-capella thing they are doing with the last half in the World Cup is great. It's like a Billy Joel concert meets Samba.
Honorable Mention - England God Save the Queen - I like that when someone dies it could change to God Save the King. Plus I like singing the lyrics to "My Country Tis of Thee" to the song since it pisses the Brits off.
Argentina and Nigeria having a good game here - Messi has scored twice and it's 3-2 early in the second half. And bright side is, Nigeria look to still get in and be the first African side this tournament to make it past group play as Iran is down 2-0 to Bosnia and Iran would need to win and Nigeria to lose to get through. Right now, Argentina will top the group and Nigeria second.

Bosnia is going to get the biggest jobbing in this World Cup. They were disallowed a clean goal, lost 1-0 to Nigeria.
By all rights, they should be advancing, not Nigeria

Our National Anthem sucks. Is it one anyone's iPod?!
