Biden: We need ‘constant, unrelenting stream’ of immigrants
Vice President Biden painted a rosy picture of the outlook for U.S. businesses Tuesday, but said economic growth hinges in large part on immigration reform, now languishing in Congress.

“We need it badly from a purely – purely economic point of view,” Biden said during remarks to the National Association of Manufacturers.

The call came amid a wide-ranging address to the business group, in which Biden said the United States is better positioned than its rivals to compete in the global marketplace.

“We have the most resilient economy in the world,” Biden told hundreds of people gathered at the business group’s annual conference. “We’re better positioned than any country in the world to lead the world in the 21st Century.”

Biden said a key to the country’s solid economic footing is the “the ‘constant, unrelenting stream’ of immigrants that has come to the United States for generations.

“Not dribbling,” Biden explained. “Significant flows.”
WTF????? :dunce:

I'm sure we all know the real reason why Donks want a steady stream of "immigrants" flowing over the borders, but is anyone (besides the dbacks and lubeboys of the world) actually going to buy this load of shit?

kalm, I know you can tell me why this is horrible policy, right?

But Biden was speaking to the Association of Manufacturers. Evidently not just Donks are in favor of immigration and cheap labor.

Close the borders, increase deportations, jail illegal employers, educate more engineers, doctors, etc, replace long term unemployment and welfare with workfare.

Economics, schmeckonomics.

This is 100.1% about votes.

The polls all show the voters are fed up with the Progressive's "Destroy America" agenda. Things couldn't be worse with Cap'n Cat as Prez.

Solution?

Add 200,000 to 1,000,000 new voters with 76% democrat bias...

...target 18-34 age group (add 12% addl. dem bias), knowing the youth vote provides value added longevity...

...market the flagrant violation of law as a "humanitarian crisis", wrapping an otherwise threat to national security as a "noble" crusade...

...label opponents as "bigoted racists"...

...convince Reublicans that they need to take action prior to the 2014 election or risk losing any chance of regaining minority voter share...

...persuade a handful of weak-minded spineless Republican leaders to co-sign legislation providing amnesty to the illegal aliens...

...so when the shit hits the fan, either through an act of terror, an alien initiated health pandemic, a sociological crisis (akin to the post Vietnamese influx gang violence), or merely an economic collapse spurred by adding an unfundable 1,000,000 new children to medicaid while GUARANTEEING THEM govt funded education...

...the Democrats can deflect and BLAME THE REPUBLICANS FOR SUPPORTING THIS IMMIGRATION CATACLYSM.

Brilliant!

And every Republican who casts a vote in support, should be voted out of office.

Wake the fuck up, America!!!

KALM!!
Congratulations! Welcome to Conkville!

Where the streets are wider, markets are a short half-a-block drive away, women are all great cooks, there's a church every 200 ft., and all children obey their heterosexual, natural, mother and father.

You now qualify for the Conk 20% discount on all white zinfandel. :thumb:

Right we all agree on that...
But what to do? we have a political system that does NOT reward one for doing what's best for America
its sole reward is getting re-elected (and its participants do what it takes to get re-elected)

In the real world (mostly) we get rewarded for completing tasks on time within budget

In American politics you get rewarded NOT by performance but through deception

I think even you know that Big Business is in bed with the establishment...Conks and Donks.

I also think that you know that an influx of poorly trained, poorly educated low wage workers (even for the purpose of gathering more Donk votes) is the last thing that this country needs, especially now.

Of course it can...term limits.

The question is, will it?
The answer is, no.
Politicians are not going to vote themselves out of a 6 figure job where they are guaranteed to be rich by the time they decide to leave office.

Just all the more reason that immigration should be as targetted as possible. We should be looking for highly trained, highly educated workers and allow them to immigrate as much as possible. The idea that we can just train anyone to be an engineer or doctor is silly - stupid is as stupid does and you just aren't going to be able to teach anyone anything. Let's bring in as many smart people as we can, have them bring their children, and make immigration about that. I agree, there's little need to bring in the lowest of the low in terms of skills or education that doesn't have something to do with pure politics.

Are you suggesting we tell people what they have to major in, maybe get the ratio right in terms of college majors rather than this mess of people choosing what they want to do?

The McDonalds in the town where I have been speeding a lot of time lately is barely open 3 days a week, only from 11-7 when it is and they cant find employees. They pay $20+ hr when its open.

That worked great when the technological marvel of the day was indoor plumbing, but the reality is we need to be way ahead of the curve when it comes to technology and those who can wield it if we're going to be increasing the standard of living here.
