Is that good enough?

Or are you going to Spanos me and tell me that isn't good enough

Good lord you're a nut-ball
The car has an 12 gallon tank - Ford Eco-boost Esape 4wd 2013
it gets 25 miles to the gallon
it has 270 something miles of total RANGE per tankful

:ohno:

This isn't a conspiracy - it's a FORD ESCAPE 2013 Eco-Boost with 4wd
the only point I'm trying to MAKE is - it's got less range than a TESLA
Just because you only put 12 gallons in doesn't mean it only holds 12 gallons. It holds 15.1 gallons

http://www.ford.com/suvs/escape/2013/sp ... apacities/

Depending on which Eco-Boost it has the mpg is 22/30 or 21/28.

http://www.ford.com/suvs/escape/2013/specifications/

So the range is 332/453 or 317/422

Carry on with your making shit up. :coffee:
SCORE!

HI5 for the win!

But wait, the Earthy people at Google Seattle probably removed the 15.1 gallon tank and replaced it with a 12 gallon tank in order to be more environmentally friendly.

I'm driving 7.5 hours to Washington DC tomorrow. Driving my hybrid, that should get me close to 400 miles a tank. The trip is about approx. 1000 miles, round trip. I'll report next week on how my Hybrid did. Since it's all interstate, there's no reason why I can't avg 45-50mpg.

Oh I see on Google there is construction around Richmond, VA and Arlington, VA. Thank god the engine cuts off during idle to save gasoline.

Maybe i'll take a side trip to Mt. Vernon and avoid some of those lane closures.

Yeah... okay sure
But removing the fuel tank..? (seriously?) The computer and an array of sensors as well as a few other gizmo's and contraptions are all connected to the fuel tank... plus you are not legally allowed to modify internal fuel containers... etc. etc.

Crazy
It's just a fucking 2013 Ford Escape 4wd Eco-boost

You know, since you've refashioned yourself as an effete "opinion leader" on here, you've become a real pain in the ass. It's like you're trying to put some distance between Stickybunz and yourself.

Maybe you can do that in your hybrid!

Meh...
Betting against Tesla has been a long standing hobby
Amongst the curmudgeonly short sighted NASDAQ elite

:coffee:

I'd put Elon Musk up against any one of those guys - anytime - any day - any way
The NASDAQ dullards are doing their clients a massive disservice as TSLA will be at $250 this time next year

I have to say-

I have sat down with a calculator several times to try to figure out if I could afford a Tesla. I REALLY would like to get the sport tuned 85Kw version in my stocking

I just can't make the math work. If they could come down to around 60K then I could do it.

Fair enough...
I'll still be around here in 12 months
Care to make a friendly wager..? (I accept paypal)

Lets say:
You win if the stock is below $200
anything over $200 but below $250 is a push
and anything $250 and above I win

and the bet is for $100 dollars :geek:

Riiiiiiight... Okay Ivy is allowed to stumble but you're the least informed poster on this forum
Do you know how much TELSA spent from their capital on their new battery plant..?

So they "lost" $50 Mil in Q1 / But also just spent $82 Mil earmarked as Battery R&D and "investments"
They would have been profitable had they elected to NOT buy a giant battery company and invest in building the new Battery plant site

that should clear things up a little bit right..?
Because in 48 months Tesla is going to be the largest battery company in the WORLD
Not in America - in the world

I'd take the over on Tesla.  In a year they will have:

a) filled out their supercharging stations across the country rather nicely
b) launched their mid-range priced SUV
c) located a spot for their new proprietary battery facility (hopefully San Antonio!) and
d) hopefully gotten out of the courts with their dealership battles...

The future looks bright.
