Texas State/Sam Houston State on Fox SW
The game is Thursday night. Kickoff is 7pm from Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos. If you get Fox Sports Southwest where you are tune in and check it out. It has been a dissappointing season for both teams. Sam Houston had high hopes of a playoff run with Rhett Bomar at QB but that didn't work out and Bomar will not play in this game. The Bobcats had high hopes with a new coaching staff, new scheme that looked promising and lots of talent and a season opening win VS. Cal Poly. After that win however the Bobcats went into a tail spin losing 5 straight, only to win 3 in a row and then dropped last weeks game to Nicholls by a hefty margin. Anyway the Bobcats/Bearkats game is always interesting, the two schools don't like each other much. We are just hoping that people show up since it's on a Thursday night and traditionally Thursday night games don't draw well, especially among alumni who have to work the next day.

He looked fantastic against the Bison. Truely a pro prospect.

I am sure some of the Sam fans can correct me here. Bomar was doing well but he suffered from a lack of surrounding talent and as I have heard anyway a lack of gameplan in some cases. Bomar showed his frustration with the coaching staff several times on the sidelines. I would say that in some cases the coaching staff didn't know how to best use his talent. Again these are only opinions based on game accounts and fan comments from other boards. I am sure someone on here has a better feel for this issue than I do. He is an absolute stud and I really wish I were going to get to see him in person, but considering we have the worst pass defense in FCS maybe it's a good thing for the Bobcats that he isn't playing.

Some said that this game was going to be on ESPNU but I could never find it. How was the game overall?
"Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happy in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general and particular." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Hugh White, 1801
