The militarization of law enforcement is one of many factors that prompted me to leave policing

it has happened because of factors that could fill volumes

but one of those factors is that there are way too many people- a disturbing number- from both sides of the political spectrum- who are happy to see it happen when it affects people they disagree with

The only person playing the race card here is Bundy. This story had nothing to do with race until he started pontificating about the negro. And yes, his comments are racist: that's why the pols that were supporting him have distanced themselves.

I always defend against acts of heavy handedness by law enforcement when they use helicopters, snipers, tasters, and attack dogs to collect a past due debt no matter what color the person is. Care to provide examples of that ever happening...you know, since it happens alllllll the time.
