I did not say this. I was telling you my mother in law said. I think that being merried only makes what Jesus did even greater. In fact, Jesus should have written a Book on how to treat your wife. Jesus the Husband and the Father would be the most importent book in the Bible.

Yawn, Mr. Flat Earther.
As the scholarly piece I cited above establishes, historians reject the lie that the Jesus story was based on pagan myth. There was no pagan "god" who was executed and resurrected. The claim that Jesus's story derives from pagan stories about resurrected gods is a fabrication, spread by flat-earthers by way of the interest who wither didn't go to college, or didn't study too hard when they were there. But scholars place no credence on this claim by flat earthers.

The ironical is ironicI admit, I should overlook the piss poor sentence structure, but it's ridiculous. How can you communicate with someone when their version of English makes you seizure. I feel like Kramer when he hears Mary Harts voice.

Back to the original Question. Yes it would be great if Jesus had a Wife. In fact, there is a Book that is not in the Cannon Bible, that states that he was Married to Marry Magdala. Its called the Gospel of Mary. lets see what I man has to say about this.

Well, 3 sigma out of 8 billion in a normal distribution would get you only 24 million people. Right now there are about 2.2 billion people who are Christians. Among others, I believe that the Roman historian Tacitus, the Jewish Historian Josephus, and the Babylonian Talmud all referred to the historical Jesus in extra Biblical accounts during the first century AD. Of particular note is the Babylonian Talmud (composed between 70-200 AD), which would have had little reason to reference Jesus had he been a hoax.GannonFan wrote:Not true, there are plenty of written down accounts from other people purporting to be messiah's as well. There are no signed and dated gospel manuscripts.
There are no original gospel manuscripts.
Only 4 gospels speak of Jesus and none of them jive with each other.
No one knows on what day jesus was born or died. The dates we use now coincide with celestial events - pagans did the same shit and we should put as much faith and scrutiny into the birth of christ that we do Apollo.
There are literally hundreds of stories/myths, some identical, of the virgin giving birth to god that predate christianity.
Here's one that includes the Annunciation, the Conception, the Birth, and the Adoration of the gospel of Luke:

Much much more. Joe will no doubt reply with some abstract from a close freind of his who is a world renowned theologists, but the fact is there is just as much evidence for a historical Apollo as there is for Jesus."In this picture we have the Annunciation, the Conception, the Birth, and the Adoration, as described in the First and Second Chapters of Luke's Gospel; and as we have historical assurance that the chapters in Matthew's Gospel which contain the Miraculous Birth of Jesus are an after addition not in the earliest manuscripts, it seems probable that these two poetical chapters in Luke may also be unhistorical, and be borrowed from the Egyptian accounts of the miraculous birth of their kings."
Dr. Samuel C. Sharpe, Egyptian Mythology and Egyptian Christianity (p. 19)
That billions of people believe this crap has nothing to do with historical integrity and everything to do with thousands of years of brainwashing, forced indoctrination, serepticious god creating, death and torturture for non belief and cycical manipulation of data.
Re: Jesus had a wife
Billions of people don't believe that crap too. Those who do were forced to believe it by the sword for 2000 years. Your children are forced to believe it or be punished by you. That's why so many believe.GannonFan wrote:Well, 3 sigma out of 8 billion in a normal distribution would get you only 24 million people. Before your bullshit, millions believed in Apollo and the mess of other gods.
