Another right wing terrorist:

Post by Skjellyfetti »

Frazier Glenn Miller, 73, of Aurora, Mo., was arrested today for the murder of three people at two separate Jewish Community Centers in Overland Park, Kan. Miller, who was arrested using the alias Frazier Glenn Cross, has been in the movement nearly his entire life. Miller is the former “grand dragon” of the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, which he founded and ran in the 1980s before being sued by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) for operating an illegal paramilitary organization and using intimidation tactics against African Americans.

After subsequently forming another Klan group, the White Patriot Party, he was found in criminal contempt and sentenced to six months in prison for violating the court settlement. He went underground while his conviction was under appeal but was caught by the FBI with a weapons cache in Missouri. He served three years in federal prison after being indicted on weapons charges and for plotting robberies and the assassination of SPLC founder Morris Dees. As part of a plea bargain, Miller testified against other Klan leaders in a 1988 sedition trial.

Miller is a raging anti-Semite who has posted more than 12,000 times on Vanguard News Network (VNN), whose slogan is “No Jews, Just Right.” VNN founder Alex Linder has openly advocated “exterminating” Jews since December 2009. Miller, a close partner to Linder, has called Jews “swarthy, hairy, bow-legged, beady-eyed, parasitic midgets.” Miller is also one of VNN’s largest donors and he printed and distributed thousands of copies of VNN’s newsletter, The Aryan Alternative.

This isn’t the first time a VNN user has been arrested for violence. On January 17, 2011, less than 12 hours after posting on VNN, Kevin William Harpham placed an improvised explosive device concealed in a backpack along a Martin Luther King parade route in Spokane Washington. The lead sinkers in the radio-detonated IED were coated with Warfarin rat poison, evidently intended to increase bleeding. Had the device functioned, dozens of men, women and children would have been killed or injured. Harpham also distributed The Aryan Alternative.

Our research shows that racist killers are hiding among us in plain sight. A forthcoming two-year study by the SPLC will show that nearly 100 people in the last five years have been murdered by active users on another prominent racist website, Stormfront.org.

In a phone conversation with his wife Marge, who has apparently never been active in the white supremacist movement, the SPLC was able to confirm that Miller had gone to a local casino in Missouri yesterday afternoon. He called his wife this morning at about 10:30 AM to tell her his winnings were up and all was well. She has not heard from him since, but law enforcement was at her door at 8:30 PM and she told the SPLC that they told her Miller was arrested for the shootings.

I know we will disagree but I don't consider racism "right wing". It's racism.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is no longer used by the FBI as an informational resource and public outreach partner because it frequently fabricates its data.

I don't know of many conservatives who are anti-Semitic or anti-Israel. That comes largely from the Left. Frazier Glenn Miller has made a number of internet forum posts that are critical of neo-cons because many of them are Jewish and pro-Israel.

A quote by Frazier Glenn Cross (Miller):
Jew journalist Max Blumenthal exposes and explains this attempt by a foreign government Israel, to buy the presidential election for the neo-con, war-mongering republican establishment.
Yeah, he's a right-winger. Fucker actually sounds like Houndawg. :coffee:

He's a "right-winger" because the media perceive Jewish people to be largely liberal voters and they work under the assumption that anyone involved in the Klan or paramilitary groups are automatically conservative, right leaning individuals. It's a farce.

I'm sure there are. If we are going stereotype people, and we all know that blacks are liberals (right? ) then would't the black members of the KKK be left-wing Klan members?

Hell, my neighbors are hardcore Democrats and routinely call the Williams sisters (and other blacks), "Nigger bitches." :ohno: Whats worst is that they do this openly, in front of their children. Look what the Klan has to say about it

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nati ... g/7695587/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A Ku Klux Klan leader denounced the Sunday shooting at two Jewish sites in Kansas City that killed three people.

"I definitely condemn what happened," said Frank Ancona, imperial wizard of the Traditionalist American Knights of the KKK, in an interview with USA TODAY Network. "It was an act of hate."

Frazier Glenn Cross, 73, a longtime white supremacist linked to the KKK in the 1980s, was charged with premeditated murder for the deaths of a 14-year-old boy and the boy's grandfather, who were both Christian, and a female victim, whose identity has not been released.

Oh no, I don't believe that. Lincoln was a Republican and Strom Thurmond was once a Democrat.

But at this point it doesn't seem like such a stretch to assume this guy probably has more in common politically with JSO than you or I. As for paramilitary groups, I'm honestly unaware of any left wing ones in the US.

Again, racism doesn't belong to any one party.

I'm unaware of any left wing, paramilitary groups but then again, I don't keep a feed on domestic terrorist activities. But, we have had left wing paramilitary groups in the past, the Black Panthers. Are the New Blank Panthers any better? Weren't they patrolling outside the polls in the last 2 elections?

Edit: The ALF are considered a domestic terrorist organization by the SPLC.

Racism doesn't belong to one party, but one party can certainly show a greater propensity to it.

Serious question…who do KKK members vote for?

You know, I used to say Republicans but who knows now. I know of a few klan members and they call themselves 'Libertarians." They hate Bush almost as much as Cap'n. There might be an overwhelming number of them supporting Conservatives but I don't know nor do I care.

You're right. Remember how those democrats would bar blacks from schools, lunch counters, and theaters? True story: My grandfather owned movie theaters from the 1920s-to 1959. He was a Republican and starting in the mid 1940s, he desegregated the theaters. :coffee:

So there are left wing Klan members and paramilitary groups? :?

Think it depends on the definition of to the right. Always been my opinion that the "extreme" right and left aren't really that far apart.

Depends on your definition "extreme".

Rachel Carson, MLK, Obama, Galileo, the founding fathers, and Jesus could all be considered extremists

Antoher good point. How about, violent extremists? I think we can agree that MLKs tactics are preferred over Malcom X's.

Also depends on your definition of right and left. Racism as part of the right is based some people's definition of right wing.

As pointed out above, things are relative. Strom Thurmond spent most of his political career as a racist FDR type democrat. So was he right wing.

Also, as you said extreme is not always bad depending on the subject matter at hand. But when we view extreme politics from the left and right, you typically end up with different types of authoritarian governments. Typically.

Were they extremists? Violence was never the intention. But again, you can't really equate killing 4 Jews out of hatred to fighting against a tyrannical government. :coffee:

Extremist: a person who holds extreme or fanatical political or religious views, esp. one who resorts to or advocates extreme action

For reference. That doesn't sound like George Washington.

It sounds like Nathan B. Forrest, Osama bin Laden, Fred Phelps, etc....

I would say in 1776 removing a king's right to rule would have been extreme.

But this ain't 1776 :D
