Welfare Whores Pt.2 - Churches and Religious Orgs

Post by D1B »

Fuckers cost us billions in lost tax revenues, so you are subsidizing Phelps and Pedophiles in the Catholic Church! :ohno:

Church is a business - they sell the promise of salvation and everlasting life to simpletons and the scared - it's no different than a liquor store. Tax em.

Moderators -- can we start a new forum for irrelevant and frivolous threads? We could call it the "D1B Trash Can."

It's a legit topic. Why should my tax dollars go to support your mythology?

Taxing church income would be illegal double taxation: the money has already been taxed. That is, it was taxed when the donors earned it at their jobs.

Besides, the church provides for much social good. That is possible in large part because of the tax exemption laws. It would be MUCH more difficult if the church were taxed at the business rate.

If somebody wants to give money to a thief that's their own business.
