Feinstein is so angry about the CIA spying on Senate Intelligence Committee staff, she's fired off a letter or two. Then the CIA asks the justice department for an investigation of the intelligence committee.

There's no doubt the CIA and NSA are out of control. But these complaints are just funny as hell coming from the idiot who strongly defended the NSA's ability to violate the 4th Amendment. It's ok long as theyre spying on ordinary people.

I LOL'd about this watching the news yesterday. Seems that what's good for the voting public (Obamacare, NSA spying, etc.) isn't really appropriate for an esteemed Senator or House Rep.

Saw this on Yahoo and thought of this thread. Not really related, but a similar hipocrisy existed back during Prohibition. We need term limits, badly.

I wonder whether the Constitution even really justifies the existence of something like the CIA or the FBI for that matter. I really do. To me it's quite possibly just more illustration of ditching the Constitution in the name of Security.

Anyway, I'm not convinced that the people who ratified the Constitution or any of the subsequent amendments really thought that agencies such as the CIA and FBI fit into Constitutional limits on the Federal Government's power. Add stuff like ATF and NSA to that question too.
