Some people on here are deflecting again...you are hitting their nerves by attacking Obama. Obama was a fool to make such comments, and his ego has made him think he was Caesar when it came to foreign policy.SuperHornet wrote:During the 2012 Presidential debates, President Obama snidely chided Candidate Romney that, "The 1980s are calling for their foreign policy back...uh...because the Cold War has been over for 20 years."
That's looking pretty stupid now, isn't it?

Obama is an ignorant, self-serving jackazz who is able to fool some people by using strategies gained in the world of appealing to the lowest common denominator, and relying on Liberal judges to enforce his agenda of equal results for everyone but his business friends. He has also proven to be an egomaniac of the highest order.
Putin is eating Obama's lunch...yet again...and frankly, it is a hoot to see Obama, Mr. "I'll hit anyone I want to with drones and superior firepower, and I'll just use my executive power pen to circumvent any need to compromise, peoples' opinions be damned," have to sit and whine while someone finally stomps Obama with a jolt of, "Fvck you, clown!"
Ukraine's movement to the West was lead by the West's business interests. I'm not a fan of Russia's "business" interests either, but it is fascinating watching the Russian mafia put a crimp into the West's billionaire development plans.
Great drama.

I don't know if Romney or Palin could've stopped it. Don't know if anybody could. But one thing I do know is that the Soviet leaders of the 1980s took Ronald Reagan a whole lot more seriously than Putin takes Obama right now. You could criticize Reagan for it but, from everything I've read/heard/watched, the USSR's leadership at that time didn't know that Reagan wouldn't pull the trigger. They really had doubts. And that impacted how they behaved.kalm wrote:How do you think Romney or Palin would have stopped this? Which 1980's policies would they have used?
Everybody knows Obama's not going to pull the trigger in a situation like this.

No - FAIL again.
This is still not a Cold-War #2. And Palin is still a dumb bitch.

Yes, everyone knew that Reagan was senile and nuts. Just like Putie today.

Revisionist history there - no one really thought Reagan was senile when he first took office. Clearly, later on he was, but early on, especially in his first term, nobody was snickering about senility. Now, nuts, sure, there's plenty of evidence from the Russian side that they thought he was nuts and it did work for his advantage.dbackjon wrote:JohnStOnge wrote:

As for Putin, though, who really thinks he's senile? Or even nuts for that reason? He's far from the age you would think senility, and his ability to hold onto power in Russia is further evidence to argue against that, and he's only nuts if you think trying to prop up a deflated Russia as a legitimate world power is "nuts".

Unlike the time Bush tried to sexually assault her during a meeting.

So now a friendly shoulder massage among world leaders is sexual assault? What is the definition of "is" in this situation?Skjellyfetti wrote:At least her selfie with Obama was consensual.AZGrizFan wrote:
