If our military were a defensive force we wouldn't even need the Marine Corps. There really isn't much these days that they're useful for. Dump the marines and use the money for special ops forces and we'd save a lot of money.

Social Security - we pay for it. It has a surplus, and can be solvent for the next 100 years with a couple easy and simple fixes.

Medicare/Medicaid - 60% of the program is self-funded (ie premiums on plans, medicare taxes, etc. So $200 billion comes from general revenue, which is less than the cost of one year of Iraq did.
