Tonight on PBS: Frontline exposes the Vatican
Witness the fucked up evil and debauchery of the Vatican tonight on PBS.
Shameful.

Utterly shameful.
Re: Tonight on PBS: Frontline exposes the Vatican
John Paul fast tracked by these criminals for sainthood. This fuck allowed pedophiles to rape thousands of boys.

The abuse is shameful for sure but the Catholic Church has helped more people on this planet than any other organization.

So what, Dimwit? Doesn't give your priests the right to rape children.
Dumbfuck.

Yeah it's great what they do, but Christ would be ashamed.

"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

Talking about the crimes of the Vatican bank now. How shameful.

I'm never posting about the church again. My work is done.
I will only post personal attacks, silly tales of ribaldry, homoerotic farces, Dadaist story lines, faux death announcements, and fatalist UNI Football rants.

Re: Tonight on PBS: Frontline exposes the Vatican
Truly unimpressive. Many misstatements of fact left uncorrected. How can some pundit be allowed to say the rate of abuse among Catholic clergy is higher than Protestant clergy, when all reports indicate to the contrary? Didn't the makers of the report have any duty to correct this obviously false statement?
Oh, and the cemetery trust in Milwaukee which Jeffrey Anderson whines on and on about -- that was upheld in court as legitimate, as I previously predicted it would be on these boards. BTW, do you ever tire about how I turn out to be right about all these legal proceedings? It's a shame that you can easily find all sorts of reports about the Creditors Committee seeking to capture the cemetery trust funds, but you have to go looking long and hard for news reports about them ultimately losing the case. Why is that?
Since I've already authoritatively refuted many of the worst accusations on this board already, I don't feel any need to repeat myself.

It's sad to see apologists for these pedophiles and absolutely corrupt individuals. Throw in the hypocrisy of doing it while supposedly on God's team and it's especially sickening. Even worse is the coverup.
I think Benedict must have resigned because he at least felt some slight breeze of conscience. Boy did he ever inherit a shit sandwich.
No knock on the Catholics here. You can't help what you were born into. I hope you fight to clean it all up. Good luck.

And as I've always said before, the Church is so much more than just the Vatican and the clergy. They have justifiably earned the emnity and the scorn they are and will continue to receive. What they allowed to happen and then coverup, for so many years, is an utter tragedy.D1B wrote:It really is shameful and underscores the fact that the church is scam and always was a scam.93henfan wrote:It's sad to see apologists for these pedophiles and absolutely corrupt individuals. But the Church is also the millions and millions of people who come together in a shared faith, especially in the local setting in communities all across the world. I know you hate religion at its core, at this local core actually, and that's your main reason to disparage the Catholic Church and anyone associated with it. But the Church will be cleaned up and religion will continue to thrive in this world, no matter your hatred against it.

Glad to see the church being dragged, kicking and screaming (joltin joe,) into the light of superior secular morality and humanist ethics.

Great doc. Frontline hit it out of the park. I was curious to see who would actually defend the Vatican for what it did/is doing on this board and am not surprised it is the normal cast of characters. D1B is going to have a field day in this thread.
Most interesting part of the doc for me was when it hit on the Milwaukee Diocese and their blatant money shuffling (approved by the Vatican) to avoid settlements with abused families. I'm amazed at the Catholic Church's blatant disregard for the victims in the name of keeping profits...then the doc was capped off with Pope Francis railing against the evils of capitalism.
