We did see ~ 25,000 Grizzlies congregated a few hours North, however. I found them to be pretty easy to get along with despite all the warnings you hear.

I posted that clip because it looks like Washington State is interested in re-establishing wolves in a few more areas due to the success it's having in valley and flood plain restoration in upper elevations...

In 2012 (Washington State) there were 17 instances of cattle (livestock) being killed by wolves
The ranchers are compensated of course - but they are still an angry lot - that would have you believe that it happens every day
