If someone said, "I want good stuff for everyone...especially white men," that person would be seen as bigot.

I've posted it before...a large chunk of America is in the 1% compared to the rest of the world. Let me know when progressives want to have their money, TVs, phones, houses, clothes, etc. forcefully taken from them and given to the world's poor.

That's not really the point, but just out of curiosity, who is lobbying for those things or any things to be forcibly taken from the 1%?

If the average American was forced to pay a 50% tax rate to support the equality of the rest of the world, most Americans could not afford the big screen TV, the new car, the latest phone, the best clothes, etc. If we need to tax our wealthy at rates that impact their discretionary purchases, then we would also need to tax the rest of America so they their discretionary (oooops, phones are now necessities, according to some) purchases would be limited in order to provide decent shelter, jobs, medical aid, water, etc. to the rest of the humans on this planet.

Equality for everyone! Wait, only Americans! Wait...we need to include immigrants, illegal and all, so only people in America! Wait...we also need to care about people in Mexico, because we already need to feel sorry for them...and the Guatemalans, and the Ecuadorians, and the Haitians...well, pretty much everyone on the planet.

Otherwise, you folks aren't really progressive at all...you are selfish, xenophobic, hypocrites.
