A general confession is given in the midst of the service, a private rite is available as well. Would love to have you. The EC really draws from the ancient prophets mantra of "comfort the afflicted, afflict the comforted". Love it.

FCS is right. You might feel more comfortable in the Episcopalian Church -- which Catholics actually recognize as being in apostolic succession to the original church.

This is news to me! Rome has never rescinded the Apostolicae Curae to my knowledge even though the Anglican Catholic Church, which broke away from the Episcopal Church in the 70s, swears that Rome has now admitted the whole "nag's head" was nothing more than a lie to discredit the Anglican orders in the 16th century. But then again the EC only recognized 2 Sacraments, Holy Eucharist and Baptism.

I will get better someday. My apologies to all catholics. I used to have the faith and wore it well. For the last 5 years I have tried to be either a catholic, a lutheran an episcopalian, a presbyterian and hell, even went to a seventh day adventist church 2 different saturdays.
WORK, believe it or not, is my one strong constant, other than my family, but even they are put out with my erratic behaviour. I do not post my posts for attention, as some have stated. They are the posts of a man who, for a myriad of reasons, has lost his way in life and truly has no sense of who he is or where he is going. It's sad.
I even emailed 2 priests within the last month and they have ignored me. A shrink hasn't replied as well. Don't know what to do but I will hang in here somehow.
I need to leave for now. If you notice anything wrong with anybody you love, please talk to them. Wish others would've seen the signs in me. God bless.

Rich, there are plenty of people that will help you (family, guys on CS that live near you). You should really open up to one of them. You have my number, call if you have nowhere else to turn.
