Christie Knew About Lane Closings, Ex-Port Authority Official Says
The former Port Authority official who personally oversaw the lane closings on the George Washington Bridge in the scandal now swirling around Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey said on Friday that “evidence exists” the governor knew about the lane closings when they were happening.
In a letter released by his lawyer, the former official, David Wildstein, a high school friend of Mr. Christie’s who was appointed with the governor’s blessing at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which controls the bridge, described the order to close the lanes as “the Christie administration’s order” and said “evidence exists as well tying Mr. Christie to having knowledge of the lane closures, during the period when the lanes were closed, contrary to what the governor stated publicly in a two-hour press conference” three weeks ago.
“Mr. Wildstein contests the accuracy of various statements that the governor made about him, and he can prove the inaccuracy of some,” the letter added.

Well, I'm actually glad he's effectively eliminated because he was never going to win the Republican nomination and all he was going to do was make things more difficult for whoever it is that does win the nomination.

Meh. Still no smoking gun. How hard is it to release the evidence if it exists? The Donks are turning over every rock they live under to find it. Still nothing yet.
If he had knowledge of it prior to the last day of the lane closures, then he is done (and should be). It is in the Donks best interest to string this along as long as they can. It takes focus away from the other candidates and carries the scandal closer to the primaries.

Not even close to RIP. The fat man isn't the only Conk candidate who can take on the Hildabeast. -Republicans still hold the House (and will by even bigger margin next year after next Nov elections).
-Will gain in Senate, with 21 donks up & only 15 conks. May go from 55-45 to 50-50 or close.
http://cookpolitical.com/senate/charts/race-ratings" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
-Hold majority of governorships (29-21)
-Hold majority of state house: 56 conk, 41 donk, 2 split. Conks outright control 28 legislatures to 17 for the donks, 5 are split
*counting bi cameral Nebraska, as 30 of 50 are conk affiliated

-Believe Conks control the majority of tens of thousands of local govts.

NYT Caught Altering Christie Story: Port Authority Official No Longer 'Has Evidence,' It Just 'Exists'
By Tom Blumer | February 1, 2014 | 14:53
Longtime readers here may recall that yours truly and others have written about liberties New York Times reporter Kate Zernike has taken with the truth, especially in her reporting on the Tea Party movement. Her penchant for inventing baseless stories about alleged racism in the movement once caused the late Andrew Breitbart to label her "a despicable human being."
