I just wanted to interrupt and say that Domino's deep pan pizza, in the black box, is actually quite good.

Their Italian Sausage and Pepper Trio Artisan pizza, however, an absolute disappointment to anything that would attempt to call itself a pizza.

Thanks for the update Cluck. I'm not familiar with the "black box". What is that all about?

And that really IS disappointing about the Trio Artisan. Is there anything specific about it that you did not like or was it disappointing overall?

Their deep dish pizza comes in a black box. Probably has something to do with "black" and "deep."

And, the fact that I like pizza in a black box goes a long way to proving, once again, that I am not racist.

As far as the Trio Artisan, it was dry and none of the spices/flavors stood out individually. In a fresh pizza pie, or any fresh meal, the joy is to be able to taste the individual ingredients while also enjoying the taste of how the ingredients play off each other. The Trio just tasted like one lump of blah...even the banana peppers had a hard time standing out.

All in all, the Trio tasted similar to what everyone expects from Dominos and/or any other large chain.

That's why the deep dish surprised me...they somehow pulled it off and it tastes good.

I am man enough to admit that I was surprised that their deep dish tastes good. However, the rest of their line up is what you'd expect from a chain.

Don't worry kalm, I will always be a card carrying pizza snob, but Dominos gets a pass on their deep dish with sausage, pepperoni, onions and banana peppers.

Think of it as you agreeing occasionally with Baldy....we'll still respect you for those occasional cracks in your foundation.

I was watching the guy leading the play ... went WTF! when he turned back to the LOS and didn't lead-block the dude into the endzone.

Because it was a pass

One of the biggest frustrations for me watching McNeese play Jacksonville State is that they can't stop the run but early on in the game McNeese felt compelled to help them by not running the ball. Then they got behind and COULDN'T just run the ball.

You know, though they looked much better on offense, EWU actually looked worse on defense in the first half than McNeese did last week. JSU had 21 points but they had two short-field TDs set up by interceptions. Only one long drive TD.

On the other hand EWU has looked good on offense but turned the ball over when they were about to score. They should be up a couple of TDs.

And it looks good for them because they were clearly having trouble with JSU's QB and I think he's likely gone for the game. If he's not his effectiveness running the football is going to be significantly diminished. Barring a miracle it's over for Jacksonville State.

Of course I guess Eastern Washington could continue to turn the ball over when it's about to score.
