Just finished this:

Great read about the events in the early and mid-1970's at Wounded Knee, SD, in which skirmishes between the fed govt and Native American's resulted in the death of two fed agents, not to mention dozens of Natives. US Gov't: "Treaties? We don't need no stinky treaties!"

Sad story. :ohno:

*******

Started this last week:

Very good history about the world's forgotten continent, from the arrival of early settelers in the 1700's to present. Australia, like much of its wildlife, developed on its own, virtually free from the Mother Country, mostly due to distance. Abused the natives, of course, though, unlike in the settlement of America, there seemed to be genuine sentiment to protect and respect the Aborigines, at least early on.

What are you reading?

Short but excellent book - highly recommend.

Looking for something on Charlemagne next. Any recommendations?
Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

I have seriously thought about that, specifically focusing on special needs kids and eventually moving into administration.

I forgot to mention that Kalm needs to read this book. I'd be interested in his reactions.
