That's the thing. You're right that we could be beat by a lot of teams in the playoffs...but we also have the ability to beat anyone in the field.

If you think you're gonna waltz into Roos and get an easy win I got news for ya. NAU isn't half as good as EWU. NAU didn't even have their head coach there, tough for them but EWU will. Big sky coach of the year btw. And EWU will actually have a HFA. And EWU is coming off a bye. You let big play va get rollin, and by the time u look up he'll have 5 or 6 tds. He's done it over n over again. Just ask Oregon State! But why am I comparing u guys to them? Don't kid yourselves NAU had a first round game for a reason.

I think next week can be the only week the Big Sky can see a win or two in the entire playoffs. If I had to pick today I would take Montana over Coastal Carolina 28-20 then Montana getting knocked out by NDSU 34-10. I think Coastal Carolina will jump up early 20-14 but blow the game late 3rd into the 4th. Montana will be blown out vs NDSU. Lucky if they will be withing 14 at best.

The Eastern Washington vs SDSU game is a complete toss up. Eastern Washington's defense has been so bad in the games I have watched that Uncle Rico would look like John Elway vs them! Lucky for the Eagles they have the next best thing to Montana to Rice in Adams to Kupp to keep them ahead of their sh!t defense. SDSU will slow them down a lot and keep them right around 30 points. SDSU has something like 19 picks this season so I'm interested if Adams will get them in trouble turning the ball over. Zenner can be a game changer just like Kupp and if SDSU can make some passes and control the clock they will be able to put up points to stay ahead of EWU. I really think this is going to be a great game. I think EWU gets the win but it won't be by much if they do 31-28. McNeese State should take care of EWU in the next round. Southland owns the Big Sky.

They also beat South Florida and Sam Houston State....you know the Big Sky champs 3 years running. Something like 7-0 with a combined record of 70-14 of those teams they beat from the Big Sky in those 7 games. WOW that's kind of crazy seven wins in a row vs a Big Sky team with an average record of 10-2. McNeese was unbeaten and the #2 seed in 2007 when a less talented EWU team than this one rolled into Lake Charles and boat raced the Cowboys. Keep trying.

McNeese State has two bad losses to Northern Iowa and SE Louisiana but those are good teams that they lost too.

The doubts about McNeese State in the playoffs are legitimate based on what's happened starting in 2003. It's a team that has generally competed well with teams from other conferences during the regular season (not this year at Northern Iowa but generally) but failed to show up for playoff games. Like in 2009 the Cowboys went on the road and beat an Appalachian State team that ended up narrowly losing in the semifinals at Montana. But at home in their opening round playoff game McNeese was blown out by New Hampshire.

So we are going to have to see if the Cowboys can get out of the playoff funk they've been in. And we won't know they've done it unless and until they've done it.
