Lafayette @ New Hampshire

Post by Mvemjsunpx »

Seems like a mismatch on paper, but I'm not sure it really is. Both teams have played better of late, but Lafayette is doing so for one specific reason: QB Drew Reed. The true freshman became the guy part way through the Harvard game and has a 196.9 efficiency rating on the season. UNH is still the better team, but they could be caught napping if they're not careful.

Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:

      • Quarterbacks -- Lafayette

        Running Backs - New Hampshire

        Receivers/TEs - New Hampshire

        Offensive Line - New Hampshire

        Defensive Line - New Hampshire

        Linebackers --- New Hampshire

        Secondary ---- (push)

        Kicking ------ (push)

        Punting ------ New Hampshire

        Return Teams - Lafayette

        Kickoffs ------ New Hampshire

        • Lafayette 24-38 New Hampshire

UNH @ UNH is like playing a top 10 team. Can't see Lafayette winning here even with the improved play.

Congrats to UNH. It's always nice to start the playoffs with a Patriot League scrimmage.
