Box xcore shows attendance at 9895. That's either a typo with a 9 added to the front, or they're counting everyone x 10.
Worst I have ever seen for a I-A game...

picture I took during today's Iowa game
Yep. We've had this discussion many times on the UD board. UD has one of the better live HD streaming feeds of every home game and it's free to boot. Combine that with CAA contracts with NBC and Comcast and you can watch almost every UD home game in your living room. Throw in unpopular seat fees and some epic choking the past several seasons and a near 12,000 strong season ticket base in 2008 is down to around 5,000 and still plummeting.clenz wrote:With 70 inch HD tv's being affordable with surround sound there's very little reason to spend 40-200 on a ticket, fight through traffic getting there, sit through whatever shitty weather there is, and then fight through traffic going home.

Those pictures have no context- in most of them the teams aren't even on the field. Just about any stadium is pretty empty 15 minutes before kickoff.clenz wrote:Maybe I should start pulling FCS embarrassing attendance pictures....

Is it just me or does that look pretty much sold out? I assume the big empty block are the bands.clenz wrote:Ohio State @ Cal

I was thinking the same thing. That looks like a decent crowd.89Hen wrote:Is it just me or does that look pretty much sold out? I assume the big empty block are the bands.clenz wrote:Ohio State @ Cal

Why do you think Villanova football chose blue as its color?Skjellyfetti wrote:It does look like a decent crowd. But, it looks wayyyyy too red to be a Cal home game.

Many CAA, MVFC, Big Sky teams would be on the list as well....Bison Fan in NW MN wrote:clenz wrote:Maybe I should start pulling FCS embarrassing attendance pictures....
I can only imagine what some would look like.
Pioneer-Patriot-MEAC pictures would be pretty interesting.
When JMU leaves, and as Delaware continues to decline, CAA attendance probably won't even average 10K a game. Hell, it might not now.clenz wrote:Many CAA, MVFC, Big Sky teams would be on the list as well....Bison Fan in NW MN wrote:

Taking out App State, ODU, and GSU - now that they are gone - the only schools that will draw really well (I'm talking 90%+) every game are Montana, Montana State, North Dakota State, EWU (though pretty easy when the stadium holds less than 9k fixed capacity), and maybe a one or two others93henfan wrote:When JMU leaves, and as Delaware continues to decline, CAA attendance probably won't even average 10K a game.
