Last year (2012) EWU had a come from behind 40-34 victory at PSU, but this is 2013! Once again, I will preach that EWU is battled tested from playing the likes of ORE ST, Toledo, SHSU, SUU, Griz, Cats, and CPU. In the BSC EWU outscores opponents 42-23, and at home they out score all 3 BSC opponents they've played 43-19 (I thru out our D-2 game vs W. ORE @43-14). So just looking at BSC stats, EWU 42-PSU-21. I'll just go with that score. Since this is PSU's last game of the year and their playoff game so to speak, they may get to 35 points. Also, Eastern is looking for 46 points to set a single season record for points scored FYI. I have tons of respect for PSU, but in the end, I think they are turnover prone, highly penalized and poorly coached. Nigel Burton will have one year left, then will be done and back to a DB coach where he belongs IMO.
Viks have nothing to lose and Eagles are already thinking of playoffs. Like a true rivalry game, you can throw out the records because for the most part, PSU does play EWU fairly close. Eagles have six weeks before their championship game, for the Viks, this is their championship game. PSU is capable of pulling off an upset here, but they need to play the perfect game on both sides. I stand by my prediction, both as a PSU fan and the impartial poster that I have been.

During EWU's last championship run, EWU cruised to a 53-17 victory over PSU, IIRC. Today will be similar.

Also, you're kidding yourself if you think Baldwin would let the players look ahead to the playoffs. He's always been a nazi about keeping them focused on one game at a time, 1-0 this week. I'm sure he told them, 'hey, we don't even know who we'll be playing in two weeks, and if we don't take care of business this week, we might not even get to play at home again this year.' EWU will be focused, and hungry today.

I think it'll be a close game. DJ Adams is going to be a load for sure, and like so many other games this season I'm sure that PSU's game plan will be to lean on the Eags and run the ball to keep our offense off the field. That said, our run D is probably better than they get credit for and I think they'll hold their own.

I think PSU will have to play exceptionally well on defense. I have a feeling that EWU will light the Vikings up through the air, but that is mostly based on PSU's fairly poor passing defense statistics.

I can see everything from this game going down to the wire, especially if we turn the ball over, to EWU gettibg up big early and the Vikings tapping out. Should be a good one.

Yep. 27 of the last 29, I believe.

Davis is also up 14-0 on Sac in another rivalry that seems to always go the same direction regardless of the circumstances.

I think we're just setting things up for Mattos March II, Venus....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

CP at UNC---The Mustangs are looking to finish strong, the Bears are just looking to finish...CP 38, UNC 17.

ISU at WSU---The Bengals are looking for win to close out the year while the Wildcats are hoping for bookends to cover a dismal season. Out in the elements...WSU 21, ISU 12.

UM at MSU---The Grizzlies are looking to bolster their playoff hopes and also to destroy any chance the Bobcats may have to get in the playoffs. But not so fast there...MSU 32, UM 28.

NAU at SUU---The Lumberjacks have been impressive showcasing the new Lumberjacks and not the old. But the Thunderbirds have been flying under the radar and are now poised to make so noise...SUU 24, NAU 21.

PSU at EWU---The Vikings are hoping for something good to build on and they do play the Eagles fairly close. For the Eagles, they are hoping to build momentum and get a seed...PSU 42, EWU 37.

UCD at Sac St---The Aggies have been impressive this year considering where most people had them. The Hornets woke up last week and realized there still are things to play for...Sac St 31, UCD 27.
2-4 for the week, 65-33 for the year. Glad it is done. :ohno:

4-2, 74-24 on the year. 75% ... not too shabby.

Total no-show.

I had a nice run with the picks the past few weeks only to crash and burn in the final week.
