GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Kevin Ellison ran for two touchdowns, Jerick McKinnon had a huge score late and Georgia Southern stunned Florida 26-20 Saturday in what will go down as the worst loss in school history.

No lower-division team had ever beaten the Gators, who won their previous seven games against Football Championship Subdivision teams by an average of 45 points....

Obviously Florida is down this year, but they are a legit defense no doubt and they still have good talent. Their mistake was trying to beat us running the ball. By the time they realized we had no pass defense it was too little too late.

Congrats to George South. Glad to see them win this while they are still an FCS program.

Interesting question... how long do you think it'll be before they have another win this big for the program once they move up to FBS?

August 30, 2014 against NC State.
Not quite on the level as Florida, but still a BCS team. :thumb:

How in the hell do you lose a game where the other didn't complete a pass? Seriously How? And secondly why is it the WORST LOSS IN SCHOOL HISTORY? It's 6 points. Bc the team is from a lower "lesser" confernce? "WORST LOSS IN SCHOOL HISTORY" is a slap in the face to ga southern. (Considering is was only a 6 point win)

People would refer to App State as the "worst loss in Michigan history". Is that a slap at the Mounties?
