Had been demanding, and voted for legislation that all food stamp recipients be drug tested.
Get some help, Congressman - and some compassion.

Good to know you and jon are for kicking drug addicts off food stamps once drug testing becomes one of the conditions for assistance.

It's a health problem. Treating it as such is the best chance to get them off of assistance.Baldy wrote:So you believe drug addicts should receive food stamps unconditionally?dbackjon wrote:http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/2013/1 ... or-cocaine

This thing start with Medicare fraud specialist Rick Scott who's crony's lab company stood to gain by mandatory state testing.
Ahhhhh, the free market in its full glory.

Re: Tea Party GOP Congressman busted for Cocaine
Of course it is and treat it like a health problem, but if you have the money to buy drugs, you definitely have the money to buy your own food.kalm wrote:It's a health problem. Dumbass, greedy, hypocrites.
Cronyism isn't an issue.
1. Put the rights for private lab testing up for bid. OR
2. Require the state labs to do the testing.
Done. Problem solved.
Next.

It's certainly funny and doesn't look good, but he would only be a hypocrite if he were on food stamps and not subject to testing.Grizalltheway wrote:Says the guy who has yet to address the hypocrisy pointed out in dback's original post.Baldy wrote: Nice dodge, Copernicus.

Re: Tea Party GOP Congressman busted for Cocaine
I have no problem with drug testing being a requirement for food stamps. I also have no problem with holding Congress to the same standard and making drug testing a requirement for them to receive their paychecks.Baldy wrote:It's certainly funny and doesn't look good, but he would only be a hypocrite if he were on food stamps and not subject to testing.Grizalltheway wrote:

There shouldn't be any food stamps. Nobody should be forced through taxation and redistribution to feed anybody else. If private charities want to do it, fine. But government shouldn't be involved in it.
