Yeah, he should probably have a chat with Kaufman before he thinks about leaving early. :coffee:
^This. But yeah, Kupp is a no-brainer.

What type of offense did he play in while at Northern Iowa if he were at Eastern Washington I say his name would be heard with that 4.19 he clocked.Maybe he is on somebody's practice squad????
UNI threw the ball over 300 times his senior year...

He's been arrested twice, suspended multiple times at UNI, and has an ego issue like you wouldn't believe.

He got chances at making teams because he ran a fast 40 time....he was signed and but by 4 teams in 3 weeks over the fall because all he has is speed. He has no hands, can't run anything other than a fly or post route, can read defenders, etc...

Speed doesn't mean shit in the NFL unless you are Randy Moss - who was 6'5 with a 40 inch vert and some of the best hands in the history of the league.

Jerry Rice ran a 4.71
I would bet Cris Carter was not a under 4.6
Larry Fitzgerald 4.63
Anquan Bolden 4.71
Wes Welker 4.63
Brandon Marshall 4.54
AJ Green 4.55
Lynn Swann 4.58
Michael Irvin 4.52

I can keep going...those are all Hall of Fame/top 10 WR during their prime in the NFL....

Andre Johnson (4.4)Calvin Johnson (4.32) and Demarious Thomas (4.32) are the only WR that are true threats with great speed. There are other fast WR but they aren't near the threats as many other WR.

Shit, take the time to look at the fastsest 40 times in combine history and see how many of them actually panned out in the NFL

Chris Johnson 2008 - had a couple great years but is vastly overrated

Marquise Goodwin 2013 - 10 catches for 180 yards this year...wow...amazing

Jerome Mathis 2005 - 6 career catches and out of league

Jacoby Ford 2010 - 54 catches in 4 year NFL career thus far

DeMarcus Van Dyke 2011 - not currently on roster and 16 total tackles in 2 years with 2 teams...wow...HOF

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie 2008 - great career no doubt...but that's more due to his physicality and smarts than speed

Stanford Routt 2005 - 7 year career as a back up and ST player averaged just 26 tackles per season already out of league

Trindon Holliday 2010 - 2 career catches and 1 career rush for a grand total of 24 yards. No threat on offense and doesn't even play offense only returns kicks. Probably because he can't do anything except run real fast in a mostly straight line

You want me to keep going?

Decent speed is important, but 95% of players who have ever run 4.39 or lower haven't done jack fucking shit...ever...

It's all about football IQ, physicality, work ethic, route skills, block skills, etc...

However, I get that you've bought into the typical African-American culture from top to bottom in every way, shape, and form. It's all about speed and flash and not actual skill

Kupp breaks the FCS Freshman receiving (yardage) record, and ties Randy Moss (Marshall) and Brandon Kaufman (EWU) for consecutive games with a TD catch.

Why do you think basic footspeed is a asset of just black players there were plenty of fast white players in the NFL who is being "Typical"now????Those other deep threats did you think that they didn't have a QB with a decent arm to throw them the ball!!!By the way when it comes to footspeed you can blame this " black guy" back in the 30s and look who was a beneficiary of what he did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwiOPq0u ... ata_player" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; now the beneficiary http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhX68i_c ... ata_player" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If some EWU fan could get a picture of Kupp with two girls (nothing dirty, just posing for a photo) and then post it here that would be amazing. Please make sure the girls are of legal age. Thanks in advance.

1. You asked about Sinkfield and the offense run because he should, by your standard, be in the NFL right now because he is straightline fast. Why do you now not touch that subject after I tell you UNI threw the ball 300 plus times, and was cut by 4 NFL teams in a month?

2. You have bought into the typical African-American culture that speed is more important to making it to the NFL than actual skill from players. You've bragged about OL 40 yard time and saying how it meant they'd make the league. The 2 most overrated, and yet overhyped, drills/stats are 40 time and bench press.

3. I never said anything about race until I said you bought into the typical "He's fast, he's going to make the league" bullshit. The lists I pulled at Hall of Fame WRs, going to be HOF WR, and/or the best WR in the game while they were in their prime. Very very few of the best WR in the game are burners. They great route runners, with great hands, that have decent top speed. Typically the burners look real good in college (especially at the low level that you follow most closely) because they are bigger/faster than everyone and just need to outrun them. Once actual position skill and intelligence is required and they can't rely on speed anymore they don't do shit.

4. Foot speed is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT than 40 time speed. I've seem some amazingly slow players have great foot speed....just so you know, foot speed isn't have fast one foot goes infront of the other while running the 40....I played DL at the D3 level. I didn't have great 40 speed as the fastest I clocked at Wartburg was a 4.89. However, I had a great advantage because of how quickly was able to process the ball being snapped and getting off of the line. I saw some very fast guys who probably ran 4.4-4.6 times struggle to make the field at the D3 level because they didn't have anything other than straightline speed. There are pro bowl and HOF OL that couldn't break 5.4-5.5 in the 40 but have foot speed comprable to almost anyone

5. Those 40 times were pretty much all black players...I didn't single them out and leave white guys off. I went straight down the list of fastest combine 40 times in history...I'll keep going if you want. The fact is that if you go through the fastest 40 times in combine history by position the players at the top of the 40 times will struggled to find a home in the league more often than those with "average" speed but twice the skill set.

Yes I bought the subject of race into this because you think all white guys are slow I said this guy could improve his chances of possibly getting into the NFL by working on his speed. That was my point there is room for improvement in this young guys case that is all.

I never said anything about white puerile being slow....

I said that if being fast gets people in the league Terrell Sinkfield would be on a roster and not sitting at his mom's house in the twin cities and cut by 4 teams in one month. I then backed my position on the subject up with facts abd specific examples.

You then changed your side of things and tried, and failed, to spin this back as a race issue at me.

Do you follow the conversion yet or should I stop because the intellectual substance of my posts is too high for you to comprehend?

Pretty awesome that two EWU receivers have tied a record Randy Moss set, and one of them will more than likely shatter it (if playoff games count toward the number).

Playoff games do count… now. They didn't count in 1996.

Moss had 28 TDs as a freshman including the playoffs.

With eight catches for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns last Saturday at Cal Poly, Kupp broke the FCS record for receiving yards by a freshman and also equaled the FCS record for most consecutive games with a TD catch of 11 (at any grade level). Kupp, a 2012 graduate of Davis High School in Yakima, Wash., has caught a TD pass in all 11 games he has played as an Eagle thus far in his career.

“’He’s obviously really talented, but on top of that he maximizes his talent and opportunities,” said Baldwin of the candidate for the Jerry Rice Award given to the top freshman in FCS. “He deserves it because of how hard he works at it. He does all the little things to put himself in position to break those records. He’s always making huge plays – it’s constant.”

Kupp had TD catches of 32 and 24 yards against Cal Poly, and now shares the consecutive record with Randy Moss from Marshall in 1996, Cal Poly’s Ramses Barden in 2008 and EWU’s Brandon Kaufman in 2010.

He has 1,231 yards for the season on 68 catches, breaking the old freshman yardage record of 1,196 set by Sean Price of Appalachian State in 2012

Kupp has 16 TD catches (second in FCS behind Eric Lora of Eastern Illinois with 17) on 68 catches this season – a TD for every 4.3 catches so far. The next-best freshman in FCS has seven receiving TDs. Kupp, who is averaging 18.1 yards per catch, is fifth in FCS and tops among freshmen in receiving yards per game (111.9), fourth in total receiving yards and 24th in receptions per game (6.2).

In the last five games, he has caught 46 passes for 804 yards and eight TDs. Kupp has had performances of 11, 11, 8, 8 and 8 catches in his last four games, with yardage totals of 168, 182, 205, 110 and 139. His 205 yards against Idaho State ranks as the sixth-most all-time at EWU. He has seven performances this season of at least 100 yards.

He garnered co-FCS Freshman of the Week honors from The Sports Network when he caught 11 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns versus Montana on Oct. 26.

Playoff games do count… now. They didn't count in 1996.

Moss had 28 TDs as a freshman including the playoffs.
Impressive. I was referring to the consecutive games with a TD record. How many did Moss get to if playoffs counted then?
