Guys ... You're kinda starting to obsess, again
Folks ain't watching "Tuesday Night Football" -- much less "Tuesday Night Sun Belt Football"
NCIS gets 19-20 million viewers at 8PM on Tuesdays on network TV. O'Reilly gets around 2.5 million viewers on cable. Viewers of 'The Big Bang Theory' on TBSC (I don't know what that is) range from 2 million at 8PM to over 2.7 million by 9:30PM.
'Modern Family' on USA jumps off around 1.6 million at 8PM, dropping to 1.4 million by 9:30PM. There are a half dozen or more 8PM cable shows that score between 1.5 and 1 million viewers in the time slot, from everything like 'Tosh.O' (I have no idea what that is, either) to reruns of 'Full House'.
The main ESPN channel with their 'Original Documentaries' looks to snag 750- to 850k each week in the time slot. That ranks about '90th' for cable shows for the day. The 'Deuce' does not score in the 'Top 100' cable ratings for Tuesdays.
It's been a while since I looked it up ... but I believe the contract with the Sun Belt is for 2 games broadcast at the 'Deuce' level or above each year. So, the Tuesday night games would appear to address the contractual obligations. I can't see this bringing home a lot of bacon for the conference when it's split between all members, but if someone has evidence otherwise, I'd love to see it.
And, running down the SoCon just kinda seems ... desperate

How so? We were presented a decision between (A) Sun Belt (B) SoCon.Aho Old Guy wrote: And, running down the SoCon just kinda seems ... desperateRant on, Bros.
Making a comparison between the television deals of the two conferences isn't "running down the SoCon." The SoCon doesn't have a television deal... so, it may seem harsh to compare the two... but, I'm not sure how you make a decision about which conference you'd prefer without making that comparison. Sorry if it offends you or it appears to be "running down the SoCon."
It doesn't make sense to compare the Sun Belt's television deals to BCS conference's television deals...... and, then call out people that make comparisons between the Sun Belt's television deal and the SoCon's (nonexistent) television deal.
And, yeah. I like all your research on Modern Family and NCIS ratings. Great work there. The Sun Belt obviously isn't as big of a draw. And, I agree.
Now, see if you can find the numbers on people streaming the ONE SoCon game available on espn3.com on a Saturday afternoon.

Another "crappy" mid-week football game with BCS implications.
Ball State (9-1) takes on Northern Illinois (9-0). Pete Lembo, who left the promised land of SoCon and FCS football for the desert non-BCS FBS football tries to get Ball State on the inside track for a MAC championship in his 3rd season.... and adding to his resume before teams like Virginia come calling in the offseason.

The owner was flipping the channels looking for Baylor - OK (that's why we were there) and the first game he found was LA-Lafayette. Even the Salvadorans were like, WTF? Then, he found a catholic high school game and there was no booing. Then he found the Baylor game and much merriment ensued.
I remember that the high school game was between Jesuit and Saint something. I didn't remember who the Cajuns were playing playing until it was mentioned here.
One of my buddies who was with me is a Montana St grad and I had to explain to him that the Sun Belt is actually FBS. He thought Troy was still FCS.

Were there many people watching it relative to Baylor-OU or UO-Stanford? No. Of course not.
Were there many people watching it relative to the people streaming the SoCon game of the week on espn3.com? Yes.
This is what always pisses me off about these FBS vs. FCS arguments. Y'all want to compare non-BCS FBS teams to BCS teams. Yeah, you have no argument there from me....
But, if you want to laugh at Sun Belt, MAC, etc. television coverage... you have to compare it to what they'd have otherwise as FCS. And, that is nonexistent television coverage... and consists of true diehards tuning in via the radio or internet stream.

Hmmmm.
Attendance at the Sun Belt champ's tie-in bowl game the last 3 years:
54,728
48,828
42,841
Not bad.
Especially compared to these quarterfinal and semifinal playoff games:
Towson at Eastern Illinois - 3,850
Jacksonville at E. Washington - 4,277
UNH at SE Louisiana - 5,586
Towson at E. Washington - 6,209
