Great. Wall Street and Defense is raping the country, but try to give a starving kid another 25 bucks a month is bad.

This country is truly fucked in our priorities. If you think most of the working poor like it that way, and are happy on handouts, you are too fucking dumb to vote.
Give?

That mindset needs to be shot out of this country.

You earn it or you starve.

Cant feed your kids, dont have them in the first place. Acting like your bad decisions and CHOICES are everyone elses problem is fu*king laughable and you deserve to be poor.

Short of being physically handicapped there isnt one person in the United states that couldnt improve their financial situation in one year with better decisions and hard work.

You mean SMART work. The only thing hard work ever got anyone is a bad back.

Is this map using a standard poverty level, or is it based on the cost of living in the different area's of the country. Homeless is homeless, poverty level is relative to where you live.

True and I don't know, I just grabbed the nearest one I could.

Point is, red states require more federal spending per capita, tend to lower educational outcomes, and I'm guessing higher rates of poverty by many measurements. Low pop states like NoDak being the outliers.

In other words, red states need the welfare.

Not to mention DC is #1 in poverty rate and homeless rate.

Utah is one of the "reddist" states there is and they are not purple on this map.

So that negates all of the purple ones in the south?

Don't Mormons have a pretty solid welfare system on their own?

They have something but I don't know a lot about it honestly. I do know they have farms, huge food stores and they make people do some work to use the system and won't let you stay on it forever.
