Doubt it.

Many are jumping on the USD 'bandwagon'...I'm not quite there yet.

You held Cal Poly to 17 points, but gave up 411 yards (5.4 yards per play). I would say you contained Cal Poly's offense, not smothered it.

Last year was in Cheney. This year it is in San Luis Obispo. I hope EWU's players come in as confident as you.

Changes everything with the NAU win over Cal Poly and EWU win over the Griz

Updated prediction?

1. 10-2 (8-0 BSC) EWU
2. 9-3 (7-1 BSC) MSU
3. Everyone else.

1. 8-0 MSU
2. 7-1 EWU
2, 7-1 NAU

Problem Cats could lose to either EWU or UM or both.

EWU can lose to Cal poly or MSU or both

NAU has 1 loss locked up.

Good chance of a three way tie

Not saying it couldn't happen, but what about this Cats team makes you think they are good enough to beat EWU at home?

The coaching staff is better than the Griz, and after games like UND and SHSU the game plan will be strong. The Cats match up better on both sides of the ball.

NAU finishes at a likely 7-4 SUU who will have a chance at an at-large bid. Not a one-loss lock for the Jacks.

SUU will be playoff bound this year.

I actually think MSU may have a harder time containing Adams than UM did. I don't think MSU is as good defensively as UM is.

I don't know why I keep interpreting for kalm, but I think he meant you aren't a lock to finish with one conference loss, and that SUU could be the team to give you your second. Comprende? :)

You are since you both are part of Grizo's pack

Kalm said NAU would finish 7-4. NAU is 6-2 now.

SUU likely needs to win out to have hope of an at-large. They haven't looked vaguely playoff caliber since the USA win—just a blowout loss to EWU and tons of close wins over weaker teams.

True, but have you looked at what's happening to the MVFC, CAA, and obviously Southern? Awful lot of 8-4 at best and likely 7-5 teams with weaker schedules than the SUU coming out of those. Plus Lehigh lost this week, negating a 2nd team from the Patriot. A couple from the OVC, Maybe 3 from the Southland...but with a 24 team field, I think an 8-4 BSC team with an FBS win has at least a puncher's chance.

Patriot will get two teams automatically; Fordham can't win the conference.
OVC could conceivably get more than two. I would put Murray, Jax State, and UTM all above SUU at this point.
SoCon will likely get two of three: Samford, Wofford, UTC (possibly all 3)
Big Sky should get 4 for sure if nobody collapses.
MEAC could get two: B-Cook & SCSU. The Bulldogs will likely finish 9-3.
CAA could get several, though I'm not sure who still has yet to play each other…

SUU could sneak in, but they need a lot of help if they lose one (& they're more likely to lose 2 than win out).

SUU is not a playoff caliber team.
They may not be and their offense certainly doesn't look like it, but that's a very vague statement given the size of the field and what else is happening. Teams like JMU, W&M, Chattanooga, TSU, and even YSU have resume's that are similar. 5+ wins against the bottom of their conference or weaker FCS OOC foes. Then look at how much the MVFC, CAA, and Southern are beating themselves up.

SDSU, UNI, SIU, Nova, have no losses to give and Wofford, W&M, JMU, and UCA have one loss to give at which point each of these teams finish 8-4. Also consider many of them teams play each other or the front runners in their conferences still.

It will be a very interesting home stretch.
