Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm confident many of them are just that, assholes. And I certainly believe that this could've happened and that it could be racially based. However, I don't find it acceptable to just believe that it did happen, lacking any first hand account that it did, and the only first hand account that we are hearing from is the White House and they said it didn't happen. If you're going to belive otherwise and believe the scenario you imagined, then you've already made up your mind and you don't even need a story like this - you'll believe whatever you want to believe anyway. Smart move whether it happened or not - especially if it did happen, which wouldn't be surprising in the least.
