There is no perfect solution. But, yes, going to the legislative branch as the final authority on what law and Constitution require would be the best option. The legislative branch? That would be a **** of epic proportions.
The executive branch? Talk about monarchy...
What would be nice is if the Judicial Branch restrained itself and remained faithful to its role. You know, make an honest effort to divine original understanding and not interject its own view of what is best. But that hasn't been happening.
The Judicial Branches of both Federal and State governments have been out of control for a long time. I guess when you stick a black robe on somebody and require that everybody stand up when they walk in goes to people's heads too frequently.
But it's not their job to make policy. It's just not.
