UC-Davis and Cal-Poly are solid OOC.

And one of these days, Souers HAS to beat his old team, doesn't he?

Well NAU does get them at home, who knows, maybe.

It's hard not to wax homeric this year at SIU based on what the Dawgs accomplished last year while learning a very different system on both sides of the ball and adjusting to a new coaching staff. I think Lennon will break out this year with a wide-open offense that returns seven starters and a big play defense that returns ten starters. I think we get past the first round and have a very legit shot at upsetting UNI on their homecoming in what will be one of the best FCS games of the year showcasing two very improved QBs.

I have a feeling the dome is going to look like it did 2 years ago for homecoming. Oversold the dome by about 1200 seats and had people 2 or 3 deep on the steps leading down to the field, concourse overflowing all over.

I can't wait for that game!

Sac State

9/5 @ UNLV : L
9/12 @ Cal Poly : W
9/26 vs. Eastern Washington : W
10/3 @ Portland State : W
10/10 vs. Idaho State : W
10/17 @ Weber State : L
10/24 vs. Montana : L
10/31 vs. Northern Arizona : W
11/7 @ Northern Colorado : W
11/14 @ Montana State : L
11/24 vs. uc davis : W

7-4 Overall, 5-3 Big Sky. UNLV did beat Arizona last year, they also LOST to San Diego State (2-10) so I would say the UNLV is a winnable game. Also Cal Poly was hit hard in graduation on the offensive side of the ball. That combined with the new coaching staff will make that game a winnable game as well. uc davis has been spiraling out of control since last year. They will get destroyed by Boise State, Fresno State and Montana before they play Sac State in the Causeway Classic. There is no doubt the ucd game should be looked at as a win.

U of San Diego gets its all-time rushing leader (JT Rogan) back next year. The NCAA granted him a medical redshirt so he is eligible. I don't know anything about Southern Utah but they will have their hands full defending the rush.

The Sac St- NAU series is funny. The last five games have been home team blow outs. You have to go back to 2003 for the last visiting team win (NAU 24-21)

And that was the end of a seven year run where the VISITING team won every game.

I think SUU can beat NAU just because it was a very close game last year and i see much of the same this year, except we get the last second pick in the endzone this year :D

TEXAS STATE

09/05/09 vs. Angelo St W - Should be a easy DII win
09/19/09 at TCU L - The Frogs have been way too good lately
09/26/09 vs. Texas Southern W - Should be an easy win
10/03/09 at Southern Utah W - Heres to beating SUU. Two losses in a row is enough.
10/10/09 vs. Southeastern Louisiana W - Never have lost to the Lions
10/17/09 at Nicholls L - Struggle every time against them and its a road game
10/24/09 at Northwestern State L - Tough road game
10/31/09 vs. Stephen F. Austin W - Beat the Jacks in San Marcos
11/07/09 at Central Arkansas L - Still can't find a way to beat the Bears
11/14/09 vs. McNeese State W - Had the Cowboys number lately
11/21/09 vs. Sam Houston State W - Always a fun, close game

7-4 - With 3 conference losses it may be tough to make the playoffs. Luckily UCA still is eligible.

The win/loss could be switched with SUU and NWST which I'm fine with since it gives us a better conference record.

I see this game as the probably conference title game...again (whats new as of late).

I see it being low scoring until about half way through the second quarter, with most of the scoring done by the late third until late. That or no scoring until late in the game.

You making the trip to CF?

It has to be a barnburner, I could see a sloppy first quarter as both teams come out too high. One of the teams could make the semis.

I'm going to try. I have a 25th anniversary trip to Hawaii in the same general time frame.

I am asking myself this very same question. BF usually just makes up his info anyway.

WCU goes 5-6 in Wagner's second year, improving upon his 1st year of 3-9 which itself was an improvement upon Brigg's last year of 1-10. Yep, 5-6. Still a little light in depth and talent, but we will win a game we're not supposed to and lose one that we should win. Just my opinion.

However, I wouldn't be shocked to see SIU knock us off.
