The Big Sky refs are a problem in almost every game but you've just got to deal with it. I don't see any other conference complaining about refs anywhere near what happens in the Big Sky. Just score more points and they are less of a factor.

You really are **** insane and should be committed. Keep on repeating the same stupid ****, putting words in other peoples mouths, similar to how everyone here sticks their cocks into your mouth.
Nobody's talking about cocks in mouths.. except for you.

I'm getting the video ready for upload...

As for bad calls by the ref, good teams do not put themselves in the position to let the refs determine the outcome. Cal Poly had numerous opportunities to put this game away and did not. Once again hats off to the Griz.

My only complaint is why our coaches went to the prevent defense when they held the a Griz offense in check for the most part the whole game. I am one that feels the only thing prevent defense prevents is wins, especially when the defense had played well all day.

The only good thing about this game is we found out tiny little Cal Poly QB Dano Graves is the real deal. He will win a lot of games over the next 2 1/2 games.
Tend to agree. You need to be on top of your game to win in Missoula. Refs will certainly not help you out there. That is well known across the conference.
Agree? That's not even remotely what slostang said...I think you're thinking of the fucking crybabies like expandspanos. If not for two fumbles in the red zone this game never makes it to OT....there, see how easy that is?

Sorry Montana Fans.. you would have to be LYING TO YOURSELVES to say the officiating had nothing to do with the outcome of this game- I will provide video evidence soon.. This game at every single pivotal moment had a referee bogus call.
What calls other than that the fumble and the defensive mugging by CP, affected the game?

Always tough to win in Missoula, mainly due to the success of the Griz program, but the officials there won't make it any easier. You have to play a great and complete game. Cal Poly played a great game but it doesn't sound like they played a complete game. At least that is what I thought was being said. My bad if I missed something.

If they didn't call such a piss poor defensive scheme to close out the game CP would've won. I don't understand why coaches insist on calling the prevent defense. Dumbasses.

I don't understand why we can't see any replay that might be controversial
They figure that we can't handle the truth...we're not cat fans

Every other game I watch they show every replay

Today they had one up and ready to replay and it was pulled at the last second

Must be the same people slowing down the entrance to the stadium making the decision

You make it sound as if Montana is the only team that gets preferential treatment from the refs, and that is patently not true. Do the refs suck? Sure....but its not their job to make it "easier" or "help you" in the game...how about the pass that was ruled "uncatchable"? That was a BS pick up of a flag...but you don't hear Griz fans bitching about it...

And the fumble didn't even affect the game, since the Griz squandered that opportunity.

This game was looking a lot like the 2010 loss to the Bobcats, but ended up looking very similar to the 2006 win over CP instead. :thumb:

The Griz got a little help from the ref in that game too. 4th and 13 on the final drive and the WR catches for the first and runs 2 yards back on his own and is tackled. Game over, but the refs incorrectly call forward progress and gives him a first down. Montana extends the drive and kicks the game winning FG.

Here are my thoughts(Some random) on the game and congrats to CP for playing a hard fought game.

1) The only ref call that was horrible (And should be reviewed by the conference for discipline!) is the CP fumble, it wasn't a fumble at all, period. I don't think it changed the game at all as we quickly went 4 and out, turning it over on downs. It changed field position very little, much different than any other simple 5 or 10 yard penalty would. If we had scored here, this most certainly could have changed the outcome. Grats to CP for standing stong on D and getting the ball back.

2) Our offensive needs a lot of work. They just don't seem to have the heart sometimes to really want it and I don't see it getting better. The O-Line needs to step up and stop getting pushed around. I don't remember what exact play it was in the game chronology but the 4th down attempt where they lost 3 or 4 yards ought to be embarrassing. I have zero problems going for it but for Christ's sake, please try and get it with a little more effort than that play. :ohno:

3) Our defense can and should improve. It won us the game today and overall they played good but we sure give up a lot of yards.

4) Cal Poly is a pretty good team and we are lucky to have gotten a W today. They certainly aren't the scheduled W from years back. :notworthy:

5) We will get our asses handed to us next Saturday if we play this way. Not sure if I will be able to stomach it in person.

After NAU and Cal Poly, I am starting to think the same. We have the talent as evidenced by the pounding we put on mediocre teams, but when faced with some quality, we stumble. I put that on the coaches.

One thing:

I have a lot if respect for Cal Poly's team, coaches, and program, but man was #22 a cocky, whiny bitch: always arguing with the refs after the play, and taunting the crowd and our players for most of the game.

To see him hunched over in emotional agony after the INT was pretty fulfilling. :coffee:

A bad call. Isn't this the nature of football? It's called "adversity." There's all kinds of adversity in a football game. Bad ref calls are only a part. There's penalties, fumbles, missed field goals, injuries, failed TDs in the RZ, etc., etc.

Whether it's luck, skill, etc., the better team overcomes these. Coaches and players, if not the fans, understand this. There is the sense that each team has its share of adversity; it balances out.
Despite all this "adversity," I believe there are equal opportunities, as well, and the better teams exploit these; they "execute" better.

So, it's difficult to say one bad ref call determines the outcome of a game. I don't believe it does; it's just part of the "adversity." Football is a human activity with human officials. I believe most if not all refs are committed to calling the best game they can. They have their "adversity," too.
