Montana v. Cal Poly
Slo Stang, CPalum, all of you. You won that game. Bad fumble call by
Getting a punt blocked and a late FG blocked didn't help any...

Cal Poly took Montana to the wood shed the entire, well most of the game.

I wouldn't say they won that game, especially since Montana didn't do anything with the bad fumble call.grizzaholic wrote:Slo Stang, CPalum, all of you. You won that game. Bad fumble call by![]()

Special teams is part of the game and Cal Poly got bit in the ass over theirs today.
Still, I am HUGELY relieved to have won that game. Cal Poly showed our coaching is still weak when we get punched in the mouth.

It was an amazing game that I would have preferred to see Cal Poly win. I thought they played like the better team today. My hat is off to Montana
Re: Montana v. Cal Poly
Football is a 60 minute game. Hat's off to Montana for playing all 60 and into OT. I would say the Griz got lucky, but I have seen too many games like this to say the Griz got lucky. The Griz make their own luck. Best of luck the rest of the season.grizzaholic wrote:Slo Stang, CPalum, all of you. You won that game. Bad fumble call by![]()

As for bad calls by the ref, good teams do not put themselves in the position to let the refs determine the outcome. Cal Poly had numerous opportunities to put this game away and did not. Once again hats off to the Griz.
My only complaint is why our coaches went to the prevent defense when they held the a Griz offense in check for the most part the whole game. I am one that feels the only thing prevent defense prevents is wins, especially when the defense had played well all day.
The only good thing about this game is we found out tiny little Cal Poly QB Dano Graves is the real deal. He will win a lot of games over the next 2 1/2 games.

No hats off to Montana.. sorry.
The refs blew this game- Cal Poly controlled it the entire game.
We got fucked in the A$$ by the refs.

When I saw Cal Poly went to a prevent...I looked to the sideline to see if Delaney was coaching you guys. Prevent D only prevents you from winning.SloStang wrote:Football is a 60 minute game. Tend to agree. You need to be on top of your game to win in Missoula. Refs will certainly not help you out there. That is well known across the conference.SloStang wrote:Football is a 60 minute game. Re: Montana v. Cal Poly
It's weird- Here in SLO refs tend to call the game as they see it, as fairly as they possibly can.. but when they go to Missoula they get into a twilight zone, where a knee on the ground doesn't matter.. it's still a fumble.JALMOND wrote: Tend to agree. Where a pass interference call is called (even though a defender didn't touch the receiver)..
Bizarre.
Some would say that puts us at a disadvantage (refs calling an honest game vs. total nonsense). It must be nice to be in Missoula! You don't even have to win a game to win a game!

+1. You gotta play well enough to overcome the crowd, and the refs.JALMOND wrote:Tend to agree. You need to be on top of your game to win in Missoula. Refs will certainly not help you out there. Best not to get in that situation. Put the Griz away, then the ref calls don't matter.expandspanos wrote:It's weird- Here in SLO refs tend to call the game as they see it, as fairly as they possibly can.. but when they go to Missoula they get into a twilight zone, where a knee on the ground doesn't matter.. it's still a fumble.JALMOND wrote: Tend to agree. Yeah, the refs were pretty bad.
Cal Poly was moving in the backfield and on the line before nearly every play.

Sorry Montana Fans.. you would have to be LYING TO YOURSELVES to say the officiating had nothing to do with the outcome of this game- I will provide video evidence soon.. This game at every single pivotal moment had a referee bogus call.grizzaholic wrote:EWURanger wrote:
