You mean fired, right? You know full well that if the admin had left well enough alone, he would have stayed on, as was his right, having earned it with his success over the years....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I'd walk out too if they made me sit on a bus for 12 hours during a regular season game.

This is Division I football. Jeez

SWAC = Mess
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Common issue at most HBCUs, turf war between school prez and head football coach.

Okay Robinson was double teamed.I also heard that they were not getting the type of players they used to get regularly and they were getting smoked by your alma -mater ever November.Also the offense they used was very predictable!!!!

something not right at Grambling: Alcorn flew even though they were paid $100K LESS than Grambling for this game. Plus there are rumors of the team not making their game Saturday at Jackson St.

Coach Rob was a great man but he couldn't compete against Pete Richardson. He was still on that come to Grambling because it's Grambling kick.

The school needs to grow a sack & just shut down the program for the year. Tell the kids they can either be released from the scholly & go play somewhere else or they come back next season & play.

I'm sure NBC can schedule other programming for the Southern game.

Football & scholarships are privileges.

We got a transfer from Grambling and I thought some of his quotes on why he came up to MSU are telling in what is happening there.
“The academics is what really pulled me. The fact that I can tell they are really here for the athletes makes me feel very wanted.”
“I just don’t feel as if a lot of the things (Grambling State) told me while recruiting actually happened when I got here,” Wilcox said. “I don’t feel like the school is very organized. … I just wanted to go to a university that is a high-caliber university.”
