What are you some kind of republican?

I certainly think dems have a lower opinion of their voters and thus would be more likely to think it would hurt them, but I'm not sure how convinced I am which party it would benefit.

I honestly think it would make the reddest states less red and the bluest states less blue, though.

I'm Liberal about the world...
but I would vote all day long for a Republican that could extract its head from its ass
For example I don't think our welfare spending is as destructive as our Military budget
I don't think women's bodies are anybodies business but their own
I think Pot should be legal

However:
I don't care about guns - load 'em and hand 'em out in Kindergarten for all I care
Sell Bazookas and rocket Launchers (no problem) have at it

and I think our government is too big and is run inefficiently by unskilled dullards
who should be hanged publicly

But I'm not blind
Liberals live off the minority vote - plain and simple
and taking tests sin't going to play out well in that world
Q: Name something that offends Republicans?
A: The actual teachings of Jesus

Doesn't have to be anything really involved, just basic stuff like "what are the three branches of government?" and "with what country has the US been negotiating the destruction of their chemical weapons?". If you can't get at least three quarters of it correct, ZAP, your vote doesn't count.

Voting is NOT a right, and you have to uphold your end of the bargain by at least trying to be minimally informed. It boggles my mind that we strip voter eligibility for anyone convicted of a felony in our justice system as if it's an infallible system but it's terrible to even suggest expecting that people not be completely ignorant dunderheads when they vote.
Oh, btw, I have no problem with stupid people voting. Even stupid people are sometimes right and really, there's only two choices anyway so how much harm can they do? I don't see how having Jeopardy as a litmus test for voting would make us any better off.

If you stopped eating the Tea Party's baby food.......you'd realize that people WILL be able to get affordable healthcare that otherwise wouldn't have. Now eat your peas, Junior........

Paid for by everyone else. If you'd take Obama's cock out of your mouth you'd know we're all going to pay more in taxes and higher premiums for those that otherwise would't be able to get coverage, or coverage they could afford. Ones who are really going to be screwed are the younger folks, the 20s-30s, esp males with no pre pre existing conditions, and get their insurance from the individual market are not going to have affordable health care because they're the ones that are going to have to subsidize those older and with pre existing conditions.

As Dback pointed out in another thread, we're already paying for them now through higher taxes and healthcare costs. At least with the ACA they will have access to preventative care which does save money. Not saying it's a wash or that Obamacare is the answer, but the current system is just as fucked.

This.

I'd settle for limiting voting to living US citizens...but apparently that's too much to ask. :coffee:

Just be comforted by knowing there is a reason you weren't meant to breed. The rest of us are certainly breathing a sigh of relief.
